The Stake is a more pagan symbol than the Cross

the watchtower claims that the cross was not used by true christians and is of pagan origins.
(watchtower 1989 may 1 p.26 it reveres a pagan symbol masquerading as christian.

the translation, word for word from the greek, reads, "who was manifested in flesh.
" the american standard uses "he who"; other versions use the word "which".

facts were stated about how our body is designed to live forever (the brain, blood vessels etc) and how all these intricated details about the human body raises us to ask the question: "did not jehovah design us with the purpose of living forever?
now i've read the threads about how there just would not be enough room in the world for all those people.

by Check_Your_Premises inwe all know that cults use loaded language as well as redefine words and phrases to have their own special meaning.. not to long ago i was talking to a very devout jw sister (totally brainwashed just doesn't describe it) about my daughter.
she kept talking about the "young ones".
she must have said the phrase twenty times over the course of the conversation.

I've Got a Christmas Present Given by Pastor Russell
by Seeker4 ini've got a really good collection of wts literature that i've been working on since the 1960s.
one book i have is a copy of poems of the dawn, copyright 1912, leatherbound.. it's inscribed thus: "eleanor a. shires - a gift from pastor russell - xmas 1911".
the cover is in rough shape, but the pages are perfect.
