Repentance
by Narkissos inthis is an oft-forgotten, ill-loved item of judeo-christian tradition.. regularly waved by threatening bible-thumpers, which doesn't help.. luther's slogan semper simul peccator et justus (always, at the same time, sinner and righteous) is remembered, but the third term of the equation (et penitens, "and repentant") is seldom mentioned.. modernity made it coward (e.g.
the one calls us forward.
and yet, no, when remorse calls out it is always late.

My so-called life
by riko inhello everyone..i just wanted to introduce myself and tell you a little bit about my experiences.. i'm 23, have been raised in the truth all my life.
when i was 18, i made a foolish decision to get married, something i knew deep down i wasn't ready for, still being very much in the 'bloom of youth'.
i reluctantly saw my future as being one of jehovahs witnesses and with all my adolescent drives, i moved away from home to marry a man with about the same maturity as me.

A brief History of Me...
by Truth.Seeker ini was studying with jehovah's witnesses during my college years.
i found that they somehow was able to make me understand many of the meanings from the bible that i had never understood before.
i had a clearer sight of what it was to walk as a christian.

Divided Household
by pratt1 ini grew up in a "divided household" and i was wondering how many of you had similar experiences to mine.. 1. i was always viewed as fatherless child as a kid.
i wasn't, i had a very involved father, however he was an unbeliever.. 2. i always felt the my decisions in life ultimately meant that i was chosing one parent over the other.
going to college i chose dad over mom.

I'm just numb! :-( I need to vent!
by caz ini have just witnessed for myself one of the most hypocritical scenes ever before in my life!
my sister's ex husband, ( father to 3 boys, 12, 15, 20 years) commited suicide a few days ago.
he has been a jehova's witness all of his life and and also suffered from bi polar disorder for most of it also, particularly bad in the past 3 years.
