  Who do they hate more--faders or DFd people?

  i personally am hated quite a bit.

  i've concluded it was because i rejected them personally.

  i quit associating with them because i realized they were hateful individuals with serious mean streaks and other personality problems.

  JWs hate anything they can't control and doesn't fit into their mold. As someone else said, fear also has a lot to do with it.

  As far as one group feeling more hate than the other, my opinion would be that it depends on your personal situation and outlook. After reading hundreds of stories on this board for (I think) over a year now, it seems like there has been A LOT of pretty nasty treatment, regardless of being DFd, DAd or Faded. Not only that, but one person might take it to heart more than the other, depending on their expectations. When youre DFd, you EXPECT to be treated like crap, wheras if you're faded, you might still carry the hope that you'll be treated with respect. Makes it a little more shocking when you're treated with their version of "Christian Love".

  JW's can't even love each other, much less a common "enemy", no matter what the situation.

  My Husband

  on the 12th of this month, around 9:30pm, i was getting ready to leave for work.

  running around, putting on clothes, making sure i had everything ready and the kids were settled in bed.

  my husband, shawn, was laying aross our bed, resting, he stood up and suddenlly put his hand to his chest.

  What were you disfellowshipped for?

  i recently had a discussion with a witness friend (i'm a secret) and she claimed that witnesses only get disfellowshipped for being unrepentant for immoral acts.

  i am curious to know from those who have been disfellowshipped, what was it for?

  I also left and so far have managed to dodge the DF bullet. I figure it's only a matter of time before they decide to make something official though. It's well known in my JW family that I celebrate holidays at least.

  i talked to zachary (my 7-year-old) about shunning.

  i brought it up out of the blue, in the hopes of getting his real thoughts and not leading him into anything.. me: "hey zach.

  if god told you to never talk to me again, what would you do?".

  JW Attitudes about Medical Marijuana

  i am curious.

  i am an rn and work in portland oregon where we help people who qualify for medical marijuana obtain their state registration cards.

  i am a mmj paitient myself.. my parents are in good standing and know about my medical choices.

  I don't have personal experience, but I would guess that they would say something in the "Trusting Jehovah to take care of your problems..." area of rhetoric. I could imagine that there are those who do and keep it on the low down and never agree to have the bookstudy at their house...

  Does the average JW feel the "end is near"?

  my hubby recently had a discussion with his older brother.

  my brother in law told him he wants to reach out to become a ms. he's going to cut down on his work schedule, go out in service more, spend more time with his son etc.

  he's in his mid forties, has always been regular at meetings and fs, but never aspired to reach out before.

  LOL- My husband found that about a year and a half ago and traps our poor friends in our house and makes them listen to it.

  Every once in awhile I'll be quietly sitting on the couch and he'll turn his computer speakers up and blast it out. I can't help but laugh my butt off.

  My Sercuit Overseer is a JERK!

  well my sercuit overseer visit was this week and this guy is a real a-hole.

  apparently our mic handlers are pretty slow.

  they always take forever to give the mic to the hand-raiser and sometimes even forget to turn the stupid things on first.

  " Please ;refraim from wearing any perfumes or hand lotions" because it will interfere with his already stuffy nose.

  Oh my gosh- we had a couple of resident hypochondriacs in our hall. (Wouldn't you know I was related to most of them!) I got in big trouble one time because I had passed one of them and they swore I was wearing perfume. Turns out it was my DEODERANT that was too perfumy... sheesh.

  don't you just love those days when you are out shopping and right as you turn the corner you are face to face with someone from the hall?

  it's really bad when you can't remember their name but they remember you.

  i was a walgreen's and ran into a sister from the hall i am supposed to go to.
