by jeanniebeanz inwe are big tim burton fans in this house, and have been eagerly anticipating this movie.
my 11-year-old has been bouncing off the walls to see this one since the preview first came out.
here is a good trailer site where the player allows you to view in full-screen.. http://video.msn.com/dw.aspx?mkt=en-us&tab=s120&dw=1&rf=http://movies.msn.com/movies/movie-trailers/browse/&fg=&from=01/64&vid=7134f30a-2b4a-4acc-b8cf-080cd3c2583e&playlist=videobytag:mk:us:vs:0:tag:movies_trailers:ns:msnvideo_top_cat:ps:10:sd:-1:ind:1:ff:8a.

Diane Sawyer - World Nightly News
by jeanniebeanz ini'm sure she is a real nice person, but i was disappointed to learn that diane sawyer was replacing charles gibson on the world nightly news.
she's always been very difficult to watch since whenever she disagrees with someone she's interviewing, she gets this "i just smelled something obscene" look on her face.
after that, her face freezes in this very sour look for some time.

Gardening in Houston
by jeanniebeanz indoes anyone else garden along the gulf coast?
i used to be able to grow just about anything in northern cali, but since moving to houston, i have a devil of a time with my garden and flower beds.
they seem to be plagued with everything from insects to fungus and the amount of chemical solutions that the garden centers here recommend would poison the entire planet to the nth generation.

Prophesy
by jeanniebeanz inwell, over the years we as witnesses have endured many failed prophecies from people who claim to have god's cell phone number.
it got me wondering, how much worse could we do individually?.
what predictions do you all have for, say, the next 50 years?

Men & Women and... Garbage Day
by jeanniebeanz ingarbage day at my house is always a harrowing experience... the night before, hubby will go through the house gathering anything that looks to him to be trash.
having gotten in trouble before for throwing out some old but precious 'thing' he will now ask, "you going to keep this?
" or "why are you hanging onto this junk?

A Question for Apostafest-Goers
by jeanniebeanz infor those of you who have attended an apostafest.... have you come away from a fest with a different opinion of someone who posts here than what you expected?
have you ever disliked someone on the board due to a difference of opinion expressed here, and found out that, in person, you actually liked that person?
vice versa?.
