Aspbergers Syndrome
by MelbaToast in.
my nephew, age 2 1/2, has been diagnosed with this developmental problem and i was just reading the thread about the man who can caount 100 decimal places in his head.. he currently sees a team of developmental psychologists, referred by his pediatrician, and has been doing quite well in his communication problems.
he is learning sign language and has been signing more than talking for the past 3 months.....doing quite well.. i think my sister is a little spooked because of the comparisons between her two sons and their cognitive development differences (the older son was a blabber mouth at 18 months and at age 16, still wont be quiet...whereas the 2 yr old hardly ever talks, but recognizes and organizes all shapes, letters, numbers, etc.....he is very smart.. as i dont know much about the whole syndrome, and i know there are ppl on this board that have experience with this delay, i would be thrilled with any information i could offer my sister to calm her down about this.. thanks in advance, melbatoast

Children of the 80's!
by MelbaToast inalright, i admit, i was a child of the 80s (or what i can remember) but the real reason for this thread is i have noticed that there is quite a few of people on this site that are close to me in age or just a little bit younger or older.
i will be 28 in june.
i think that this period in my life is a deep questioning period, because at younger ages i didnt give a flip about anything jw or ex-jw for that matter.

The purpose driven life?
by MelbaToast inok, just wanting to vent here for a minute..... for all that don't know me very well, i have been dfd for about 8 years now and am just starting to figure out where i want to be as far as from a religious standpoint.. now, i have started to delve back into research to mitigate the bible and early protestant v. catholics.
its pretty interesting, but i havent really set foot in any different churches for a while.
once in a while, we go down the street to my hubbys church where he grew up.

Almost was able to use my apostoskills today...
by MelbaToast instopped by the in-laws house for a cup of coffe this morning and low and behold, they were walking down the street, bookbags in hand, with a little boy in tow.. i got all excited, and had gotten the goahead to answer the door when they came.
millions of ideas came rushing to my mind, should i be gracious because of the kid?
should i force some of my religious banter on two unknowing jw's?

Are you a JW Hater?
by MelbaToast inreading a topic in here, i came across a conversation regarding jehovah approved(tm) sports.
i noticed that two of the posters were insensed at the amount of ex-jws in this forum.. they started ignoring everyone else that had put their opinion in on the subject....and decided that everyone in this forum was a jw "hater".
i myself take offence to that, for i don't hate the jw's.
