June 15th Watchtower -- A critque
by TD inthere is an ancient artist?s saying that states, "if you do not know your materials, all you do is express your inability to express yourself.
" an artist must know his materials and the ideal of a true artist is to know those materials so well that using them is as natural as breathing.
in the two companion articles, "rightly value your gift of life" and "be guided by the living god," the june 15th, 2004 issue of the watchtower proves beyond any doubt that its writers have attained that ideal with their chosen medium.

Jehovah's Witnesses are NOT "Neutral'
by metatron inwhen a debate arises between a witness and a non-witness, "neutrality" is often used as the trump card, a final.
argument that can't be overcome: "we're the only group that is neutral in worldly affairs", they say.. but are jehovah's witnesses really neutral?.
consider that witnesses will teach the following:.

Predestination and Dubs
by Farkel indubs are one of a few unique religions that sprung up from the second adventist movement in the 1800's.
they are unique in that they believe in "greater fulfillments" of prophecies recorded in the bible.
they believe that bible characters and bible groups foreshadowed their equivalent "classes" of people in modern days.

John Hick
by logansrun inhas anyone ever had opportunity to study the writings and ideas of christian theologian john hick?
i've been reading one of his books entitled "god has many names" which is a radical and thought-provoking work advocating the idea that all of the world's great religions (christianity, judaism, islam, hinduism, buddhism) are in some way "inspired" by god and lead to him/her/it (hick refers to this entity as the "eternal one").
hick was raised in a non-religious enviornment, was initially inclined towards theosophy but later became a conservative christian in the presbyterian church.

i put this in humour, but it makes me want to vomit hard
by in a new york bethel minute ini receieved this "poem" from some witness chick who sent it as a forward to myself and a whole bunch of other dubs.
my sister received it from someone else and i have other friends who received it from other sources.
im sure every young witness who has email has received it by now, and it's the most sickening, disheartening thing i have seen in a long time.
