  Did you wear your badge outside the convention, so as to "give a witness?"

  this year at the dc, we were expressly told to wear our badges at all times, even when going to a restaurant or some place else, so we could "give a witness.".

  did any of you hear follow through with this arrangement?

  did you have one of those "fantastic" experiences, when someone commented on your badge?.

  scientology?

  just found this in the april issue of people magazine talking about religious views in hollywood.

  there is an insert asking about scientology.

  it says, "advocates of the church praise its literacy and drug recovery programs, though its reputation suffers because former members have called it a mind-controlling cult.

  the following link is a pretty good read on anglo-israelism, gentile times, george storrs and the great pyramid doctrines that russell taught early on in the watchtower's history.

  it would be good for a jw to read this as part of demonstrating how the watchtower borrowed many of its key doctrines from others who had come along earlier, disproving that they were unique:.

  7th day psychos!!

  today, saturday i figured i'd take a little run to the adventist church to see how similiar they are to the witnesses.

  after talking with them i just had to run to the computer, asap.. after the service, people started walking out.

  i felt like walking out too b/c there was a lot of old people and they were kind of cliqueish.

  How did you get out of field service?

  when i was a kid, we had the meeting for service at our house on saturdays.

  i would seem to be getting ready in my room and when mom went into the living room, i would run into her bathroom and get in the shower.

  i had long hair, and no hairdryers in those days.

  jWs and creativity

  its seems to me over the years as a dub i have met some very creative (albeit eccentric) folks in the org.

  whats your thoughts on this?

  do you think that the structure of the jws makes people more creative?

  Trying to fade slowly....

  i am trying to fade slowly, but am finding this increasingly difficult.

  i can't sit through a meeting, i had to leave at the 1/2 the other day, because of my recent enlightenment, the hypocrisy is to much for me to take.

  as i left you could see the looks on people faces, "oh she's just not spritual enough".
