Did you wear your badge outside the convention, so as to "give a witness?"

Last year I saw a witness couple in the chip shop after the convention with their badges and they looked as MISERABLE AS SIN. And they treated the Chinese shop owner with COMPLETE CONTEMPT.

I rarely wore that damned thing even at the assembly. I was always "forgetting" to order one.

I wore a badge when I was little. I stopped around 18 when I began buying wool suits. I never wore them again. Nor will I ever.

I hated to wear the badge and even if my father asked I conveniently forgot (he got the message). Us kids would make a big stink about going to the hotel FIRST to change then out to eat.

I pulled out the "you are not a WOMAN so you don't know how uncomfortable panty-hose, slips, skirts, shoes and dresses are" card. That usually worked too.

HELL NO !!! and none of my witless friends did either! I hated those things. I don't know what it was but just the thought of putting one on me made me feel uncomfortable. You tell yourself, "whats the point in even trying to put on that new snazy tie to look different at the assembly if your going to wear that dumb badge that identifies you with a group". and the wts says "we are a unified people, not a uniformed people" . then whats the deal with the badges?

i tore mine off as soon as i walked out of the convention center....unless of course we all went out to dinner with the parents, and then it stayed on.

It didn't matter if you were a badge or not after the meeting. People and Jw's still knew you were a witness because your behavior gave it away.
