Left the cult at 50 and I enjoy every second of freedom...proof that it's never too late...NVR2L8.

  • Divergent

In the Divergent book / film series, Divergents are people who are considered to be a threat to social order as they are able to think independently and are unaffected by the mind control tactics of the authoritarian goverment (or the JW organisation, in my case)

  • rebelfighter

Never a JW but my mother always called me a Rebel. In his parting words the "Elder" told me I was a Fighter and fought everything I disagreed with. BTW, both of them are right. I am very rebellious and a very good fighter when there is a good cause with a great track record.

    So yeap Rebelfighter it is.

  • wannaexit

I want to exit (the jw of course,)

  • kamama

It's a cultural thing. Kamama in the language is translated as 'butterfly', you'd kinda have to know the story of how and why I left the cult...

    Bad at maths.

  • Old Navy
    Old Navy

I was 18 1/2 yrs. old when I departed from the Jws. A friend who

had joined the Naval Reserve suggested that I should join also.

Since I wasn't quite old enough yet to join without parental consent

I had to wait several months until I was 18.5 yr.s old in order to enlist

in the Naval Reserve by myself. When I joined it was the Old Navy.

It was a great career by the way (21 yrs.) which provided a top notch

education in Electronics Technology. No regrets.

Surprisingly, there were quite a few exJws in the Navy.
