I also realised that Lloyd Evans is listed on the minutes presenting JWwatch. The website link on their Twitter account works but when the site opens it is suspended. I believe we also need to see what Lloyd Evans is sharing on that Twitter account because it has also over 3000 followers. Does anybody know why the site is suspended?

Are you talking about the JWwatch twitter? I just asked the wife to check and she said it's not suspended...

The minutes say that Lloyd is from “JWatch” rather than “JW Watch”, a simple spelling mistake, but it doesn’t look like they scrutinised his credentials very far, or cared much what he supposedly represented.

Until now I assumed that the remaining Patreons were somehow supportive of his actions, but is it possible that many of them are still in the dark?

That usually happens if the domain/site owner does not keep up with hosting payments.

DerekMoors: the jwwatch.org site shows the account suspended message.

Gotcha. I thought they were asking about the twitter account.

The man is such a moocher I wouldn't be surprised if someone else was paying that for Lloyd and they canceled their payment or whatever.

I think many of them are. Check out this reply from ThreadWarrior.

Interesting that JW Watch is suspended. I know that he set up JWSurvey with the help of John Hoyle whom he met on this forum. Hoyle hosted and paid for it for many years and I heard something from Jabba the Hutt about him taking hosting over a few years ago. He could have missed a payment, broken his terms of service or simply let it expire. It was a dead site with the last article posted by Mark O’Donnell in the summer of 2021. He also posted his official response to Kim there about retaining legal counsel.

Interesting that this Tibor does his editing and John Hoyle maintained his website for so long. I wonder if he's not just too lazy to handle the technical parts of his "activism" but also doesn't have the knowledge and self-discipline to learn. We all know that if something doesn't come easy for him, he'll pass it off onto someone else so he can go watch porn and eat.

And the site being so dead, chances are he's not willing to part with any significant money for it either. I'm sure he'll resurrect it somehow but after losing more than half his patrons, he's gotta make some important decisions. Drinks and karaoke every weekend isn't cheap.

I feel bad for people like Threadwarrior. From his first replies it seems as if personal integrity matters to him, which means that honesty and forthrightness are also important to him. He trusted Evans and took him at his word, and now he must feel betrayed. Think of all the times Evans referred to the accusations as nothing but unsubstantiated slander, when he had confirmed them many months before. Think of all the times he has called people cowards for not being forthright, when he was deceiving the people who trusted him.

They're being victimized too, and I bet Evans's response will be to become angry with them for seeking answers outside of the organiz, I mean, for seeking answers elsewhere.

As for Evans's technical know-how... think back to his livestream, and how flustered he was by something as simple as keeping his camera and microphone working properly, and how he seemed to think that it was Producer Bob sabotaging him. It would not surprise me if he is barely conversant with web hosting and video editing.

:) yes it was the website I was wondering about because Lloyd Evans used it as credentials as slimboyfat already mentioned. Did Lloyd use those credentials as well for this years meeting? I asked because I tried to figure out if it meant much as credential for Lloyd. Is 'window dressing' the right description of what Lloyd is doing?

How much actual activism is Lloyd Evans really doing?

Slimboyfat, I do believe that there are many people who follow Lloyd Evans who are not aware of what Lloyd did. If Lloyd blocked you, that means anybody who tries to speak up against him, you can not see Lloyd replying to your tweet. So Lloyd is participating in the conversation and talks to the others he did not block and makes you look like a troll. Many people probably still believe him. That means we can not stop to educate people about what type of man he is otherwise he starts to build up his image as CSA activist again.

He was discussing his income when trying to shoo off allegations his Patreon monies were funding his Thai sex holiday. He mentioned Google ad revenue - an obvious allusion to his website.

In the earlier days of JW Survey he had many guest columnists who wrote for free whilst he both collected donations to run the website (which were solicited on the site) and collected Google ad revenue. Eventually he turned JWS over to Covert Fade as chief editor, O’Donnell as a staff writer, and himself as Senior Editor. At the time he expressed his plan that he step away while CF and O’Donnell did the work. No compensation was offered nor was it given. He pocketed the money.

Big mistake. Can’t say for sure but perhaps if he had sweetened the pot for Covert Fade, he might have found a path forward as a paid activist and had not eventually resigned. Same goes for O’Donnell. At some point Mark just stopped contributing and he made a point of saying in his announcement that he never was paid for anything JW Watch related.

He enabled neither of them, pocketed the money and expected them to produce content he could make money off of.

The site was dead long before Kim’s announcement. Since then there has been no effort on his part to either recruit new contributors or start contributing himself.

The hosting fees simply outweighed the money he was pulling in. Wouldn’t surprise me if the site is done for now, with him planning on relaunching it if the numbers for him get better.

    Follow the money.
