What's ironic is that these products are popular in the black community because they have a black person on the packaging.

If the people asking for these boycotts spent ANY time in an actual black community, they would know how RACIST they are for basically saying that "blacks are so stupid, they need a white person to research the history of these products and then we need to erase the black person history and their stories".

And the need to erase history is necessary for the Democrats, after all, every racist policy of that era was Democrat - Civil War - Lincoln was a Republican, the South were Democrats; KKK, Democrats; Planned Parenthood: explicitly started by a Democrat to provide cheap/free abortions with the explicit goal to disrupt and reduce the numbers of black babies. Veterans bill which rejected black people from benefiting - Democrat FDR; opposition to the Civil Rights movements: Democrats; 1994 Crime Bill mass incarcerating black people: Biden, Clinton Democrats

I'm okay with the demise of Aunt Jemima as long as they keep selling the delicious CORN SYRUP, HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP, WATER, CELLULOSE GUM, CARAMEL COLOR, SALT, ....

    @frozen2018 ...

That is a major problem with foods today. You buy something that you think is one thing, and the ingredient list takes up the whole side of the package, with stuff that only a chemist could understand.

I wish more products were like the German Beer law (Reinheitsgebot or something) that only allows four ingredients for something to be sold as "beer" .... water, malt, hops and yeast. Add more stuff, just sell it as something else like malt liquor or something, but not beer.

    That's it.

There's nothing even remotely offensive about Aunt Jemima in her current form. Racism by its very nature is derogatory and there's nothing racist about a compliment to your cooking.

The problem, I think, is the history of the brand. You don't have to go back very far to arrive at this:

Happy days is here! ---Not too bright, but boy can she cook....

Or even farther to find crude caricatures of people of color:

Again, we're dealing with human emotions and perceptions here that don't necessarily make any logical sense.

Yale University will be next. Can't have a university named after a slave owner and trader.

    NEXT TARGET:

When will we ever get around to banning black shoe polish used by various goofy White People when they go "blackface"?

KIWI Parade Gloss Shoe Polish, Black, 1.125 oz (1 Metal Tin)

You know, strictly speaking, most “blacks” aren’t “black”. Maybe BLM BLACK Lives Matter should make a change starting with their name??

--Not sure why the pictures disappeared above

Here's an example of the broken English of earlier Aunt Jemima's:

And here's an example of the racial caricaturing of even earlier ones:
