  as to fulfillment of Jehovah’s purposes. They have continued to
  keep to the fore in their thinking the counsel given by Jesus: “Keep
  on the watch, therefore, because you do not know on what day your
  Lord is coming.”—Matt. 24:42.

  What they are really saying is , our doctrinal policy on no blood transfusions could be wrong , due to the fact we are not infallible and we can err.

  Or another way putting it, even if you inappropriately give up your life such as refusing a Blood Transfusion, you did so by holding steadfast faithful devotion to god's chosen ones the GB of the Jehovah's Witnesses and will therefore be in gracious appeasement to Jehovah for your personal effort.

  Fisherman, jookbeard summed the answer up succinctly - as did Ray Franz. We're not talking political allegiance regarding possession of the socalled "political" card. Men, women and children died as a direct result of the Watchtower's overly-literal interpretation of the word "political". So far, not one word from you about this appallingly unnecessary tragedy based on cases elsewhere where such absurd literal reading was ditched by the organization or confined to "conscience" .

  I know it's off topic, but this article contains a lot of interesting statements (therefore I printed it). For instance, doesn't this bold part indicate that Jackson's shameless and evasive statements before the ARC that certain policies from the GB are NOT his field, is utter bullshit? (something we already knew anyway, but always good to see the truth printed and written in the WT, right?).

  JB, you are welcome to believe that possession of a "Milawi political card " did not compromise JW neutrality as you see it (because Milawi was a one party state,) but WT disagrees with you. WT position at that time was that purchasing such card and what JW were subscribing to by doing so did violate JW religious beliefs. IT seems to me that it makes no difference how many Parties there are in a government but whether or not being part of any political party violates Christian neutrality.

  JW did not have a choice but be murdered, raped, tortured by Party members. Imagine that! And you want to blame WT for those atrocities?

  The wrong is not whether a person's religious beliefs are correct or but that people should not be savagely murdered and raped and tortured because of them.

  Smmidy, in the related article, the wt does not actually say that wt erred in doctrine, only that they can err in doctrine and then they direct the reader to a reference showing where WT has made adjustments on scriptural views and leaves it up to the reader to conclude.

  Also in the related article, wt makes gives no reference that WT erred in Blood , organ transplants or vaccines in the past.

  The person was a blood relative and the issue at stake was neonatal immunological deficiency, a condition with an extremely high survival rate via the regular administration of IgG.

  Is there any other possible conclusion? A JW elder stating the prohibition on blood either as it was understood prior to 1958 or in the draconian terms of the 1961 or 1963 Watchtowers would receive private counsel at the very least. An HLC member would be removed and rightly so.

  These endeavors unfortunately instigated the deaths of thousands of people who got emotionally entrapped by these self indulgent opportunistic power seeking men.
  

  My own mother gave up her life when she refused a BT from the endeavors of these very corrupt men.

  Fisherman, you are right I am welcome to believe whatever I like in regards to this dreadful policy that your half witted leaders insisted in enforcing, there was also two GB voting sessions on it as well, clearly they were very undecided , but its no big deal poor black jws suffering unspeakable suffering while these idiots sat in absolute untouchable luxury, scum.
