Is it Time to Stop "Understanding" JW Relatives, and Tell it Like it is?

    I eventually told it like it was after years of pussy-footing around.

    "Hey, I'm a good father who provides for his kids and wants their happiness. I have a fine wife. We all have the work ethic. You have no business to condemn me. Quite frankly I don't recognise the court."

    Amazingly, after a moments time to get over her astonishment, momma said yes I know all that and hardly ever mentioned it again.

    There was one other time when she bewailed how difficult it was for her if I called on her when witnesses were present. I pointed out that they were her rules, not mine and that any difficulty she felt was her problem.

    Again she agreed.

    Yep, I agree with that sentiment. No sense in acting as if we think we're deserving of the treatment they're giving us (not that I'm personally in this position... yet). I'm glad, and a bit surprised, to see that the response they gave you was so penitent.
