Are we actually looking for a truce?

Or a better way to discuss/debate?

And throw people who call soccer, football, into that bag!

We almost never use that word over here where the game was invented. Its an derivative of Association Football to distinguish it from rugby (the game for failed footballers)

Basically there was a lad called Harry Web at a posh school called Rugby who was shit at football so he picked the ball up and ran with it. The posh boys thought that looked like a damn good idea and hey presto "egg-chasing" was born.

There is a club in Glasgow called Queen's Park that is one of the oldest in the world. My u19 team played against them last season and my lads got changed in a little pavilion that is the oldest building in the world still in use for foootball. - Oh we lost by the way.

Sorry what were we talking about.

    A better way to discuss.

Its a religious discussion forum, if there is no debate there is no point.

    Worth repeating:

Ricky Gervais tweeted this 11/14/12 and I totally agree with it:

"There are good atheists and bad atheists.

There are good believers and bad believers.

No god has ever changed that."

I'm in for the second option.

Cofty, your lips are moving, but I can't hear what you're saying!

I already said, "truce" was probably the wrong word to use in the title.

A better way to discuss/debate is what I was aiming for.

    I like Chappy's advice to:

NOT ALLOW OURSELVES TO BE MANIPULATED BY TROUBLE-STIRRERS, WHO ARE OBVIOUSLY JUST THERE TO START FIGHTS/ARGUEMENTS.

Good repition, FHS, but how are we applying it to the current line of discussion? We've been actually acknowledging that in nearly every post. Some posts are meant to stir up trouble and have no other value. They are worded to define and divide groups.
