When I was still in,and still felt God had some connection to the religion, I knew the 144,000 thing was nonsense, and I used to wonder:
"How do they fiddle it so the number of partakers goes down each year ?"
Well, they may not have been fiddling the figures in those days, but they sure are going to have to come out with something sometime soon to explain this year on year rise.
I expect it will go something like :
"Jehooober can read hearts, and He knows the ones who partook wrongly in the past, as He does today, no doubt some of the new partakers have genuinely been chosen by God to replace those of the 144,000 in the past who did not remain faithful, He no doubt too wants a goodly number on hand as He ushers in the New World which is IMMINENT ! "
