Well, Al-ass, if you could actually read and comprehend the English language, you'd see that the media confirmed that this piece of shit was married when he committed these crimes. One of the links you provided said:

"....When he found out that he was under investigation, McLean began a quick dissolution of both his business and his marriage, divorcing his wife and selling off his race car restoration business."

Kinda hard to divorce a wife if you were single eh? Then again, noone here expects someone with your limited intelligence to be able to grasp such a concept.

I believe Alice is mocking us, trying to imply that WE on this board believe everything we read in the media.

If only it were that simple, Alice.

But you will never know, because as you admitted in another thread, you don't read any of the links or proofs that people here provide for you.

There is a plethora of information that we all have researched, quite beyond some TV Show website.

But you will never know, because as you admitted in another thread, you don't read any of the links or proofs that people here provide for you.

Nice deflection from the fact that you just got ANOTHER smack-down, from stillconcerned.

If he was married, what did his position as a ministerial servant have to do with the acquisition of trust if two parents were taking children camping? If this person is really an attorney that represented one of the victims, some important questions can be answered as attorneys obviously take an evidence based approach to criminal justice.

99.9% of the “abuse cover-up” accusations against JWs are based on what someone has said. There's been two cases where there was any documentation where a congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and/or the headquarters in Brooklyn, New York knew of anything and the authorities were not contacted: one was in the early 70's and one in the early 80's. The reason there was documentation is because the men that confessed were then striped of their positions and/or disfellowshipped.

During this time, sexual assault of a minor as a societal problem wasn't unheard of, but it didn't receive near the recognition it has in the last two decades. When these cases surfaced, I'm sure it had a shock effect on those that absorbed this information and there was likely some denial involved. None the less, when the headquarters in NY received this information they strengthened their abuse policy accordingly. That's why there have been no other incidents with any documentation in the last thirty years or prior to this time.

Key differences in organizations accused of cover-ups in contrast with Jehovah's Witnesses:

    • Signed documents by the administrative position that direct clergy or officials to dismiss the incident and that direct that no action is to be taken.

The 1985 letter typed in Latin and signed by the then Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger said any decision to remove Stephen Kiesle, a San Francisco priest, from the priesthood must take into account the “good of the universal church”.

US Boys Scouts and the LDS Church conspired to cover up child abuse

A $1.4-million damages award this week to an Oregon man has severely dented the reputation of the Boy Scout movement in America, and the Church of Latter Day Saints.

A Portland jury awarded damages to Kerry Lewis, 38, after the court heard of the abuse he suffered at the hands of Timur Dykes, an assistant scout master, an authorized Mormon representative – and serial molester of young boys.

And, according to this report, there could be more financial damage to come, with jurors set to go back to court next week to decide whether the Scouts must pay up to $25 million in punitive damages.

The verdict delivered by the jury was based partly on the introduction as evidence of more than 1,000 so-called “perversion files” secretly kept by the Boy Scouts of America at the group’s national headquarters from 1965 to mid-1984.

    • These cases of sexual assault associated with “cover-ups” took place while the children were in the custody of the church or organization that should have been a safe-environment for children; not an isolated location outside the elder's supervision.
    • Kimberlee D. Norris is now revealing that the victim she represented was a case of incest.
    • According to court records, the most Jehovah's Organization has agreed to pay to an accuser is $781,250 (After legal fees and other costs, the accuser was set to receive approximately $530,000) and was settled out of court. This was stated in reference to the settlement:

    http://www.bishop-accountability.org/settlements/

    http://www.jw-media.org/gbl/20071121.htm

For the sake of the victims in these cases, we are pleased that a settlement has been reached. Our hearts go out to all those who suffer as a result of child abuse. Jehovah’s Witnesses worldwide are united in their abhorrence of this sin and crime.—Romans 12:9.

It should be obvious that if the plaintiffs had a strong case against the legal organization in use by JWs, their attorneys would have advised them to not settle and continue their prosecution. If this person really did serve as a prosecuting attorney and there was real evidence of negligence on the part of the of organization, why didn't this attorney pursue a guilty verdict?

You accept as fact that the LDS church kept secret files of it's molesters, yet disregard first-hand accounts of JW's having the same?!?

You accept as fact a Boy Scout master was able to use his trusted position to sexually assault boys, yet can't fathom how a MS/Elder could do the same?!?

You accept that the Catholics, Boy Scouts and LDS church are responsible for their molesters but the JW's are not.

If the WT was not culpable, why did they settle with the victims?

    Alice,

For someone who is supposedly married to a lawyer, you sure don't know much about legal matters.
