"Remember, nobody can REALLY love you unless they know and love Jehovah first."

While we certainly SHOULD love the sinner, we are all sinners, what we DO NOT do is judge them or their sin, that is not up to us, God is the only Judge, through his son Jesus, our Lord and Saviour.

No man has the right to judge "the sin" hence no man has the right to "hate the sin".

It's all good. Spike seems to be an expert fisherman, a specialist in baiting, a master at it in fact.

we must love what Jehovah loves, and hate what He hates, and be holy as He is holy. The Holy Writ says so.

    Spike,

Yes we muct love all that God loves, juts like Jesus commanded, and since God loves us all and doesn't turn away from us, neither can we, for Jesus said, the least you do to my brothers, you do to me.

Blondie is right about unbelieving spouses.

There is an article in a Witchtower from the late 50s early 60s that said that a JW would have to bear the "onerous burden" of an unbelieving spouse until relieved of it at Armageddon.

Who says people who know jEHOVAH ARE MORE LOVING??

    Jeff:

A couple of years after we exited, my wife and I were having a discussion along the lines of your original post, about the WT view of "love" and what we now thought about it. As we talked, she said that she loved me more now than she ever did when we were JWs. Which was startling because we'd been married for the better part of four decades and I always thought we were soul mates. She told me when we were dubs, she had to love me, it was required. But now, she was free to make a choice. And her choice was to love me.
