The 21st is gonna be a night of celebrations.
Hi EVERYONE,
The restaurant telephoned a few minutes ago and I've to put down £100.00 deposit. I actually did ask if they wanted a deposit when I first went in and they said no - but that was before the numbers went up above 40! I'll pay the deposit tomorrow.
What I need to know now is how we intend to settle the entire bill, individually or collectively (i.e. we all put in at the end, dividing the bill by the numbers present)? I'm sorry to bring this up now, but on the night might not be so convenient. Any suggestions?
By the way, the restaurant can hold 60!!

Just a thought Ian, I think it will be best to pay per couple or small group of people. If you split the bill between everyone then those not drinking end up paying for those who do. Also if we pay cash and split the bill 45 ways, then everyone has to have the exact money on them.

OK, how about we lump the price of the food altogether (the meals shouldn't cost that much difference) but have a separate individual drinks bill?I'm talking about drinks in the restaurant, not the pub!
