I have to ask, why are you so dead set against it? Why are you so bothered by the actions of two adults, when they are not harming you, please help me out here because I really can’t figure it out.

Prediction: This will be a minimum ten page thread.

It's not about gay marriage, it's about choosing to be gay. The rest is irrelevant. It would be the same as a pedophile marriage debate.

As a witness, I "chose" to be straight and I couldn't do it.

If I was going to chose my way of life, I would chose the easy way. Not the hard way.

I didn't chose to be gay. I am gay

    Lola,

As you see -- Freydi basically said he's against gay marriage for the same reason he's against pedophile marriage -- apparently, they'd both be equally immoral. How about that -- equating a relationship between two consenting adults with child abuse!! I guess it's tough to argue that point.

I'm against marriage in general. I have found it to be an unfair distortion of the market economy. Why should I be in a position to have and entire class of hot women inaccessible to me (these being married women who have not yet grown fat and bitchy), just because some lesser man snagged her first?

Marriage is a snare and a racket!

    Lola,

It doesn't matter what 'freydi' thinks here - there are lots of ignorant people who live with strange religious beliefs, and you're going to hear them. Obviously some people are not worth talking to in regards to this matter. I'd say this is one of them. It's just ignorance - nothing more. The world is filled with them, and we're all guity of this at some point in our lives.

Most people are self-actualized here. We don't need to please others to make us happy.

I can back this, even as a straight man.

I "tried" to be gay just for crazy college experience, and i couldn't do it. The mind was free and willing, but the body was weak. Physically got ill at the notion as soon as a real gay man looked at me in the club (no offense guys, I'm backing you up here), for the record, I got a lot of looks, I'm told I turned green, very scary experience. There IS a physiological aspect here, which I fully believe, by my own experience, trumps any "choice". If I cannot choose TO BE gay, even as an experiment, it is completely logical that some cannot choose not to be.

Choosing NOT to be heterosexual is also basically impossible when the opportunity to "be heterosexual" presents itself. This is why chastity belts, chaperones, birth control and well, clothes, were invented.

    It's 2008.

    Free your mind, freydi.
