am i alone in this feeling?
i wish i could muster the cojones needed to tell my husband "i want a divorce, move away, not be a jw anymore!".
i find myself screaming these same words over and loud inside my mind, several times a day, and yet on the outside my actions could not be more opposed to these inner feelings.. sometimes i worry that this internal conflict will cause me to go crazy.
Oh so often I want to just pack up and go!
I love my wife, were very good together, but there is no chance she will leave the jw's behind, or even listen to anything being wrong with them!
I am stuck pretending, and it's so hard. I hate pretending to be anything except who I am! And walking on eggshells!
I want to get on with what's left of my life! I want to find out how real people live!
Yet, here I am stuck!

andrea montgomery was found guilty as charged on each of the 6 charges of child rape of her biological son, alan von webb, the oldest boy of four children.
today, many media people were there in the courtroom for the first time since the trial started.. the verdict came in about 3:30 p.m. which took time for the judge to read, etc., so i learned about it at 4 p.m. when the father of the four children, now young adults, called us.
one of the children has down's syndrome, and it's difficult to imagine, but he also was raped since a child by his mother.

Sadly most jw's that watch Nightline, will just change the channel. Like the good sheeple have beenwarned about all this made up apostate stuff!
On the good but bad side. It may bring others forward, and help save others from this nightmare!

when it comes to a simple matter of no longer believing the teachings of jw's, it appears to me that it's more common for the husband to make the first move to leave the religion.
Talk to a layer before leaving, when you leave the house, you give up lots of rights, that you may regret. When you move out, it's easy for the remaining spouse to claim abandonedment, and the can of worms is not easy to unopen! Just because the spouse says go, dose not mean you have to!

see jws have said time and again jesus died once for all time... a quote from hebrews.
okay rule out humn-like aliens what about animals plants and microbes... i once had a hot fight with an elder when i still believed that here was no reason to doubt alien animals etc.
yet not based on any wt article witnesses reject this often.. lets suppose say in a month microbes are found on ceres (i doubt it will happen but let's roll with it) they are living as much as our cells are and reporduce... okay what would mother say in the magazines when millions of jehovah's witnesses demand to know why jehovah created microbes on a dwarf planet?.
Not much really. The Borg would just come out and explain that what they had had to say about life elsewhere was just in error. And explain that the bible is silent on the subject, but that they had just felt that it made since, being what the bible teaches about life here, and things that had happened, back in the garden.

when i first came to this forum i was of the belief that those of us who were still in due to family reasons were few in numbers perhaps one in a thousand in the jws.
soon i came to the realization that there were many more.
we have dozens of posters here who are mentally out but still in.
has anyone else experienced the wrath of elders and ex-elders on innocent rank-and-file dubs?
what are these power hungry men and their wives so mad about?
where is the love we were promised when those witnesses spent hours indoctrinating us about the spiritual paradise of witnesses we would be joining?
There used to be this great truck stop in Bend Or, named Jake's. I moved there from Atlaanta. I made an almost nonstop drive, for the almost 3,000 miles. I got there at 7pm Friday, and set up till 2am talking with the friends, I was going to stay with for a few weeks.
I woke up at 5an to excited to sleep. Showered, got dredressed, went out to explore. I was so hungury. I had barely eaten, to save money on the trip. Well Jake's was busy, so I knew the food would be good!
I ordered a large Ham & Cheese Omelet, with hash browns, biscuits & gravy. I had no ideal what i was in for. The omelet was made with 8 large eggs,! 1/2 pound of cheese. 4 large biscuts, covered with gravy, a large plate of hash browns, also covered with gravy.
It was so good, but I was only able to eat half of it. Packed the rest for later!
That's my favorite breakfast! Both in memory, and what I like!
