Blood Ban Not Going Away Anytime Soon
by baldeagle inat the recent circuit assembly in our area (nov 19/2016) a talk was given in the afternoon entitled “jehovah will resurrect the dead” it’s clear that the prohibition on blood is not going away anytime soon.
many of us here have expressed the hope that this death dealing policy would be softened or become a complete conscience matter.
not the case, jw’s are urged to not give in and to focus on the resurrection hope.

WT Study Article Counsels JWs To Be Humane Towards Disfellowshiped Ones
by baldeagle inwt august 1, 1974 pp.
467-468 maintaining a balanced viewpoint toward disfellowshiped ones.
5 it is right to hate the wrong committed by the disfellowshiped one, but it is not right to hate the person nor is it right to treat such ones in an inhumane way.suppose, then, a member of a christian congregation boating on a lake were to see another boat containing a disfellowshiped person capsize, throwing the disfellowshiped one into the water where he struggled to stay afloat.

Blood Transfusions First A Personal Matter Then Became A Disfellowshipping Offense
by baldeagle infor a number of years in jw history it was taught that having a blood transfusion was a matter of personal choice that an individual made between him/her and god.
it was not to be anybody elses business.
blood transfusions were frowned upon by the wts leadership (wt july 1, 1945 pages 199-200).

JWs So Gullible & Yet Hopeful Wanting To Believe They Are Right
by baldeagle in1959 jehovah's witnesses in the divine purpose pg.
252. for many years it had been the view of the watchtower that the faithful men of old who served god faithfully before jesus' time would be raised from the dead even before armageddon to join in organizing jehovah's modern-day people and to share in shouldering the remnant'sresponsibility of representing the lord jesus christ in the capacity of overseers of the flock of god on earth.
these men were variously referred to as "ancient worthies," "faithful men of old," and "the princes" in the light of psalm 45:16. .
