JW’s So Gullible & Yet Hopeful Wanting To Believe They Are Right

If you ever wanted an example of the readiness of otherwise "normal" people to believe completely batsh*t teachings, here it is: The belief in the resurrection of old testament prophets at JW conventions.

Witnesses fervently believed this for decades before it was ditched.

Then the Watchtower drops the belief like it is some sort of enlightened "progress". It would be akin to someone disclosing they once believed in tooth fairies then proudly declaring, "Oh, BTW, I no longer believe that" - and expect to be praised for the progress!

This lurching from stupidity to stupidity fulfills the most hackneyed stereotypes of religious fundamentalism - believing something totally ridiculous because your "leaders" expound it as "truth" and then revealing you no longer believe it - but you still follow the leaders and are in awe of them for making the path brighter!!!

That supposedly normal people could have attended conventions eagerly expecting to witness the resurrection of famed characters from the Old Testament/Hebrew Sciptures to occur testifies to the vulnerability to pathetic gullibility that has haunted religious humankind for millenia.
