  this is my first post to this site, im pale.emperor's brother:).

  first of all, i've left being a jw in june.

  since then my family have tried to convince me it's "the truth" and force me to go back even though it's my own decision.

  Jw carts

  i was just thinking it would be funny if apostates set up jwfacts carts and placed them in areas where the jws do their metropolitan witnessing to unwitness to people the witnesses have spoken to.

  it would probably get the jws backs up like or it would stop the cart witnessing altogether.

  i remember how sad i was, as a little child, when our beloved carnegie library was razed (unsafe, structurally).

  the same tragedy occurred when we moved to a new town and that similar architectural treasure was demolished to put up a new and gleaming building of steel and glass.

  Does visits to the kingdom hall library count also?

  I hated the visits there - because there were mostly blows on my buttocks.
  

  I had a library pass when I was little. I regularly borrowed books about forgotten cultures there. Later also books about how to cheat on class tests. I couldn't take these books home with me and then I read them on the spot.

  hi can anyone tell me if it's true the society says parents must take their child to meetings until they're 16 even if they don't want to?

  my ex is being a pain about me not forcing my 12 year old to be a witness.

  he doesn't know i'm becoming inactive at moment so i have to be careful how i word things to him.

  In Germany you can choose your religion (by law) within the age of 14.

  BUT - if parents don't force their children going to the meetings - they will be hounded by the elders - no matter how old the child is.
  I'm a born in JW and was forced going to the meetings. Now, decades later, my mother denies that she forced me.

  8 This kingdom, the means by which eternal life is possible for us, is a heavenly government. Jesus himself is the chief Ruler, and he is to have 144,000 corulers who have been chosen from mankind and called by God to heavenly life. (Rom. 8:16, 17; Luke 22:29; Rev. 5:9, 10; 14:1) The paramount importance of this kingdom is seen in the emphasis that God put on it in the Bible. It was the chief subject of Jesus’ preaching. (Matt. 4:23) Also, it is to the spirit-anointed Christians who will rule in that kingdom that most of the Christian Greek Scriptures is directed, including the promises of everlasting life.

  Very Lost

  hi i've been a jw for 12 years and got married 2 years ago.

  i'm now separated.

  my husband hid from me that he suffered from depression, extreme anxiety issues and a personality disorder.

  Now I have to try to accept that i am going to be lonely for the rest of my life since I can't go into another relationship. Its so cruel that he lied to get me to marry him and I have to suffer coz of it. I'm only 34.

  Would Jesus want that?

  Would Jesus want you to be unhappy for decades?

  Look - what he said about all this man-made rules:
