Myriads and Myriads of Angels ... What Do They Do?

i never understood this in my entire life in the borg.. who knows how many angels there are, millions, billions?.

an angel protected rahab when the walls of jericho fell.

then one angel killed 24,000 one night.. yet there seems to be this paranoia in the borg like the bunker video and the field video where jw's are under attack and apparently alone or at least it appears alone.. can't a few angels be put on overtime and protect the brothers from the potential "authorities" that wish to harm or eliminate them?.

For example, assign one angel per KH or something. When a KH is closed and sold, one of the angels can just go back to its normal job and the remaining angel can simply multi-task and do several congregations at the same time. Better usage of time and more efficient.

Do you know MORE about the bible NOW?

how many of us would confidently say that we know more about the bible now that we have ceased being jws?.

i know that i was proud to say that i was a "serious bible student" when a jw.

we boasted about how much we learned each week, and how we shared bible truths with the community.. but it's only after leaving, and really delving into a broad range of research, that i realise how little i actually knew!.

I Saw An Elder Yesterday Who Told Me 3 Area Kingdom Halls Were Being Dissolved

he said they read the letter to the congregation and were told the kh would be disbanded.

2 other halls in the area were slated for closure.

he said many people in the congregation began crying.

I believe that the cunning GB would come up with a console saying that:

"We are Dissolving/Merging Kingdom halls in order to escape from the Authorities - who would hunt us - during Armageddon. The End is almost here"

Bible's flaws

what are some flaws of the bible that convince you that its not god's word.

for example what about prophecies like babylon or prophecies about jesus birth and life that jw use to make you believe bible is god originated?

Business class for Governing Body

does anyone have any confirmation that the governing body uses the business class for its flights?.

also interesting is the information about the hours that were on the hand of one of the members of the governing body..

I had been arguing over this to my still in JW wife, who refuses to believe that the GB flies in business class. I even started a topic on this forum about this, a while back.

Flying business class is still a pipe dream for me and my wife. And my hard earned money goes as a donation to make these conmen fly business class, along with all the Luxuries in life

Great tribulation

you've likely heard all this before, but i had to laugh (silently) at the public talk today.. he focused on how close we are to the end.

we're not only in the last days, but we're in "the final part" of the last days.. also, we are nearing "the end of the final part of the last days".

he didn't read any scriptures backing up how the last days are broken up like this.. i went today since relatives es were visiting, but it was more entertaining than usual.. as well, the gb isn't warning us about armageddon, rather they're mainly warning about the great tribulation, which is "very, very, close!

i think congratulations are long overdue to the wt for the excellent job they do of keeping members dumbed-down and feeling safe inside the cocoon of a hive mind.

they tell us that the best education program in the world is reading the wt publications but here is a conversation i had with my uber elder buddy yesterday that may prove otherwise.

we were talking about the october broadcast and the question of whether gods name should be included or not, when i made an offhand comment about the compiling of the new testament and the canonisation of its books.

If at all the Bible is God word, he (God) should have provided it in all the languages of the world, written in pages of gold, or any more hard materials, that cannot be erased or altered in any form.

After all humans could create Read Only Documents. Why cant god ?

And It should contain real words of wisdom and fascinating truths about the Universe. Not "The Sun stood still for Joshua's Battle" types of ignorance.

most jws want to be “friends “ with the elders, kind of like having a policeman that you know who might help you out if you are in need..

I knew quite a few who were elders only to fulfil thier Egos, by contoliing others. Some were genuinely service oriented and humble (Brainwashed of course)
