  the Governing Body requests that all bodies of elders worldwide give priority to helping younger brothers grow in their relationship with Jehovah and qualify for congregation responsibilities.

  It has been observed that in some congregations, few baptized brothers in their late teens and early 20’s are reaching out to serve as pioneers or ministerial servants. In some lands, relatively few young brothers are applying to attend the School for Kingdom Evangelizers, to serve at Bethel, or to assist in Kingdom Hall construction and maintenance.

  Here ,the GB are admitting that a large number of younger people are turning away from the religion and are just biding their time till they are old enough to leave completely .

  I knew JW hierarchy were not being honest about the 1975 prediction ,but did I leave then ? no , I didnt leave till about 1993 .

  When you have allowed yourself to be indoctrinated for so long ? It`s hard to break free.

  I didn`t know back then that this was the second time the JW`s had said 6000 years of human existance had lived on Earth ,there was a much earlier one .

  Off hand i can`t remember when .

  i found this interesting topic on the current views among jws regarding the overlapping generation.. the posts are hilarious.

  how do most jehovah's witnesses explain the overlapping generation?.

  i've asked a couple of jws to explain the overlapping generation and they directed me to the website jw------org.. either they don't know, or they do know but don't want to discuss it because they know it's bogus and embarrassing.. either way, surely they must know that this just extended the last days another 80 years from the time fred franz died.

  The Overlapping Generation teaching , is nothing more than an excuse to try to explain away the failed expectation beleif that was taught for decades ,that the generation that saw events in 1914 would not pass away in death before the new System had arrived.

  And of course they all did .

  Sardis , It`s O k to quote scripture after scripture if that makes you feel good ,but it is meaningless unless you have to give those scriptures your interpretation to what they mean and their fulfillment.

  Remember however, those scriptures were written 2000 years ago ,and the scriptures never identify what time period they were ever to be applied to

  .If any.

  By the way ,Sardis welcome to the forum ,i hope you stick around ,some very interesting discussions take place on this forum.

  So long as they remain a Jehovah`s Witness ,once they leave ? They are then a part of Satan`s world and not worthy of our consideration .They have made their choice.

  Love is conditional among Jehovah`s Witnesses.

  You are either with us or against us .it`s Your choice.

  this wt doctrine includes the wrathful mass execution of individual children, babies and disabled belonging to the billions of non-jws... extremist?

  Doesn`t that mean that the Bible can mean anything to anybody ? Whatever they WANT to believe ? Depending on how you interpret those Scriptures ?

  And isn`t that why we have over 40,000 different Christian sects in Christendom ? Today in 2021?

  i have learn a lot about the religion and congregations.

  when i was active visiting meetings, i was there for the spiritual food.

  i actually thought everyone else was there for same reason ;-) i have learn there's a great variation among jws.

  I learnt that I wasn't the only JW that knew that WT have rewritten their own history to make themselves look good, to help cover failed teachings while at the same time promoting their updated version of their history.

  "New light" is how they justify their failed prophecy`s , "Evident Realities" that never get realized , False dates for Armageddon , 1914-18 ,1975 ,2000 , however the re-writing of their own history to show them in a good light was the straw that broke the camels back.

  Why it takes a long time to bring a religious cult down.

  i think the first thing to consider is that it takes a while for humans to wake up to the truth.

  this is not just a jw thing.

  around 1600 ad, galileo challenged the catholic church's long held view that the earth was the center of our universe.

  According to the graph slim has shown, for the past 40 years the Jehovah`s Witnesses have grown in number despite the internet and the growing number of sites like this one .

  How is this possible ? With all of the flip-flops ,evident realities not realized ,false predictions ,dates , about The big "A" happening around 1975 ,then before the end of the 20th Century ,not to mention those previous predictions early in the 20th Century. ?

  Where is this growth coming from ?
