Teenage son's last WT comment. Major sphincter puckering on my part.
by Open mind ini thought maybe some of us might enjoy something light-hearted to start the week off.
at dinner last night my teenage son reminded me of the last kh meeting he attended with me about a year ago.
he is a big fan of christopher hitchins and self-identifies as an atheist.

Has anybody ever written to Bethel asking why we believe certain things and did you get a reply?
by EndofMysteries ini am curious since there are soooo many here.
i know ones may have written disassociation letters and they may have just thrown them out and not done anything.
i wonder how many have written about specific teachings we have and what you have seen in the bible that conflicts with that, and asked why?

Was Jesus Christ A Schizophrenic, With Who's my Father Issues?
by frankiespeakin intoday if someone claims to be the son of god, we naturally think he has some type of mental problem, and in some cases like charley manson, jim jones, and other too numerous to give a list here,, they get a groups of followers which share the same delusion, sometimes bringing tragic results.. the governing body delusion of being the spokeman for jehovah, has also resulted in a big number deaths.. so what about jesus christ?
was he delusional?.
take a read of this:.

The Disfellowshipping Arrangement, New Book, Hope It Helps
by graysome67 inhello, i renounced my belief/faith in the watchtower society a few years ago, though i am still a bible believer.
since departing from them, i have studied the bible aptly to try to understand it's true teachings.
i decided to start publishing essays in the hope that my research may help enlighten other disillusioned jw's by seeing alternative viewpoints, or at least pointing them in a direction that would help unlock their minds when studying the bible.

"Safeguard Your Mind" assembly targeting apostate thinking
by promised_presence ini recently attended the second day of the 2 day assembly for safeguarding your mind.
the first talk was entitled "feed your mind at jehovah's table".
the first portion of this talk specifically targeted apostates warning members to not listen to them "even if they were once strong in the truth or had great responsiblity in the congregation".
