Bizarre image that puzzles me -- any tips?

i am a sometimes weather buff and enjoy the various services our national weather service provides.. interestingly, a few days ago (7/26/19 at 6:20 a.m. to be exact) i was looking at our arkansas statewide weather radar image during breakfast.

on that image, something appeared bizarre so i decided to do a screen capture on my samsung tablet.. today, i am still puzzled so i decided to share it with others in the hope that someone may offer solutions to the puzzle.

just below, is that captured (and unretouched) image.

This weather event happened before and was featured on a unsolved mystery program on the Science Channel. They interviewed some experts and probable causes were brought forward. In the end there was no clear answer to the mystery donut shape seen on the Doppler radar image.

I just googled the effect and there is one case where it was caused by a swarm of birds. Your image seems to be too large for it to be birds.

Comparing the Septuagint to the Masoretic Text: Genealogies in Genesis 5

i think that, more than anything else, the fact that the septuagint and the masoretic text are so different, is what made me stop believing in the bible.. and more than anything else, the most striking differences between the septuagint and the masoretic text have to be the genealogies of genesis 5.. the genealogies of genesis 5 are crucial to the jehovah's witnesses, the adventists, and many other religions that place an emphasis on time prophecy.why is that?because they try to make out when the "end of the world" happens based on the 6000 years of human existence, they have to use genesis 5. and, if the numbers in genesis 5 in the bible most people in the western world use are wrong, then the time to creation is wrong, and then the "end of the world date" is wrong.so, what are the differences?the account tells the ages in this format:x person lived for y years.

Take a look at this genealogy comparison chart of Genesis below. It compares the birth,death,life span of the Masoretic text, the Samaritan Pentateuch and the Greek Septuagint.

If the two witness rule is to be applied, then the Masoretic text is wrong with the first born data of Arphaxad, Salah, Eber, Peleg, Reu and Serug. The Greek Septuagint and Samaritan Pentateuch both agree when these first born sons appeared in the timeline. For some reason the editors of the Masoretic text decided to drop the 100's portion of the age.

If you follow the Greek Septuagint and the Samaritan Pentateuch with the six men listed above, then it puts the building of the Pyramids of Egypt after the deluge, not before. Also of note is the fact that the NT writers quoted the Greek Septuagint and not the Masoretic text.

GB Samuel Herd on "Angels and Women"

i find it interesting that samuel herd (as co) promoted the book angels and women in his talk "fear of giants".

he called it a fascinating book, once you pick it up you cant put it down without reading it from cover to cover!

he also mentions that russell wrote the foreword of the book and that it can be found in the gilead library.. .

Oh, I wish I would have copied that audio recording when I first visited this site. I listened to that portion of the talk a few times over the years.

I was just thinking about important years of the bible students/JW's and one of them relates to the publication year of Seola. That novel's date of publication was 1878.

In the early years of the bible students they thought 1878 was the year Jesus took rulership in heaven. They also thought the rapture was also supposed to occur in that year. Please click the link above about "Failed date predictions of Jehovah's Witnesses" on JWfacts. There's a good amount of details on the 1878 predictions.

It looks at though 1878 was supposed to be the real 1914.

WT / JW Doctrine ,Satan cast out of Heaven in 1914 ? He has always had access to the earth ? Since Eve .

this doctrine / belief that jehovah`s witnesses have , surely raises a few questions that they do not address.. 1.this spirit being challenged god by questioning his authority and offering eve an alternative making himself satan.. and this took place on earth ,the garden of eden.

so he who became satan had access to the earth.. 2. all throughout the old testament , the hebrew scriptures do we find examples of satan interfering with gods plan of things either by himself or his followers .. 3.their are just too many examples to list individually ,however a few key ones would be , the nephilim , job when god in heaven asks him where he has been , and his reply , from roving about on the earth .

, etc.etc.. 4.and of course in the new testament , where jesus is taken up into a mountain to be tempted by satan for fourty days ?.

Your entire post earlier was very interesting Doug Mason. Here's a portion that caught my eye, in which I am starting to believe.

As immortal beings, they were asexual; in the Garden story God does not tell them to "be fertile and increase" as they were told in the first creation story (Gen. 1:28). Sexuality is discovered only after eating from the tree, when "they perceived that they were naked" (3:7).

Let's take this a bit further.

The Lord's day arrives. Everyone whom God chooses is changed in a twinkle of an eye. Per Jesus, these special people have no sex drive. They are deemed immortal and they live on the new earth with the new heavens above. One thousand years go by and then an evil influence is allowed to tempt these special immortal people. A number of them pass this test and a number do not. The ones that do not pass are removed somehow. The ones that pass are allowed to eat of the tree of life. After eating of that tree they are given a sexual drive for procreation, thereby merging immortality with sexuality.

the light continues to get brighter, yada, yada, yada.. but, the bottom line is the watchtower claims everything comes from jehovah.

books, magazines, videos, assemblies, to jw broadcast, to gb appointments, to dramas, even the music and sophia and caleb.

heck, they would claim jehovah provides the toilet paper if they could.

It's been fixed by God already.

Everything from the platform is no longer claimed to be from God. Almost every meeting you will hear the Governing Body being mentioned in the prayers as the source of the spiritual food. Just recently the holy spirit was removed from the baptismal questions. The Organization is run by imperfect men and that's all there's to it.They even admit there is no supernatural involvement. The closest they can get to God is by reading the bible.

The Organization has received no new revelations regarding the execution of the end times. Isaiah 42:9 says, "See, the first things have come to pass; Now I am declaring new things. Before they spring up, I tell you about them." If any out there have a true prophetic message to give to the GB then by all means do so.

Michael the Archangel and Jesus same person? Start of Blondie researching

i was reading something else on jwn and remembered why i started questioning wts definite statements of fact.. i was asked by a non-jw to prove these 2 points from the scripture:.

1. when did the 2,300 days in daniel 8:13,14 start?

Jesus is described in Revelation 19:12-13 as riding on a white horse with the armies of the heavens following him on white horses as well. We know this is Jesus because it says he is called by the name The Word of God. The gospel of John describes Jesus as the Word of God. It's Strange the same verse says he has a name written that no one knows but he himself. This proves that Jesus is not Michael the archangel. We know that other angel's name.

The problem is they have to have an answer for everything. Why can't they just say, we don't know?

For some reason every important mystery character in the Bible is associated with Jesus with the WT.

Michael and Abaddon (angel of the abyss) = Jesus

Why can't other angels have important roles too?

I knew of a witness that said he had a problem with the Michael is Jesus teaching but he was ok with that. He believed in the faith so much that if the organization was called Yahweh's Witnesses he'd still follow it.

the quotes from wt publications is are extensive and from publications that are older and less available.

i find it good to read many posts on a single topic and expand my knowledge and sources.. blondie.

Does anyone know anyone DFed for “extorting” a high bride price!? Or other unusual rule.

I knew of one case where a sister embezzled a bunch of money from her employer. I didn't really know her. She was at a public place with worldly people and witnesses and a friend of mine told me no JW could talk to her because of that recent crime.

Recently I had an issue with the WT understanding of the Stake/Cross physical characteristics. I found a number of bible verses that contradicted the WT view. After looking at jwfacts on the topic of the cross I can see the Org is wrong about that also. The object was more of a "T" than a "+". It was never a "I".

how many heavens does the bible identify ?.

1,2,3,?.

the voyager satellites have now gone beyond our solar system in the year 2019 , taking off in the 1970`s and have never encountered one heaven of any sort in that journey ..

Rabbinical tradition says there are seven levels of heaven. The NT is the only place in the bible that mentions a third heaven and that's just one scripture. There is no mention of what is in the first heaven or the second heaven. Maybe voyager needs to go through six solar systems to find something interesting in the seventh.
