Should you carry "I Want Blood" card
by MegaDude inchatting with elsewhere last week, i was surprised and not surprised that he wanted legal documents drawn up that would give medical and legal power of attorney over him not to his family, but rather to ex-jws he knows if he became incapacitated or was killed.
elsewhere is a devout atheist for one and the very thought of his parents having a jw minister (or any minister for that matter) saying a few words over his final resting place is a repugnant thought to him.
i truly understand that.

another shunning experience
by MegaDude invivamus' post reminded me of some of my shunning experiences and one i had recently.
twice i have been doing yard work in the front of my house and my "annointed" jw mother and her car group have pulled up and parked right there in front of my house.
they get out, dressed up, bookbags, literature.

THE BIG DEEELIMA FACING YOU KNOW
by MegaDude inyou know, a frequent poster here, is a mentally deranged semi-jehovah's witness with serious mental problems.
he has serious issues with the watchtower, thus negating his effectiveness as a jw.
he has no responsibility in his own congregation because he is regarded as "strange.

Letting JW relatives go....revisited
by MegaDude insome of you might remember i posted my thoughts on why, after years of shunning, and me continually trying to establish contact with the jw relatives that do this, i finally decided it was healthier for me to let them go and stop doing that.
this was especially true in the case of my younger brother, who was more like a best friend.
we spent a lot of time together before my extricating myself from the watchtower, including vacations and lots of weekends.

Girl killed by hockey puck at NHL game
by MegaDude ingirl hit by puck at nhl game dies .
columbus, ohio (ap) - seconds after being hit by a puck as she watched an nhl game, 13-year-old brittanie cecil held a jacket to her head to staunch the bleeding and walked to an exit.. two days later she was dead, the first such fan fatality and one of the few at an american sports event, other than auto racing, directly related to action on the field.. an eighth grader at twin valley south middle school near dayton, brittanie would have turned 14 on wednesday.. the girl was struck in the head by a shot early in the second period of saturday night's game between the columbus blue jackets and calgary flames at nationwide arena.. columbus center espen knutsen's slap shot from the top of the left circle appeared to be deflected by a defenseman, with the puck flying over the high glass at the west end of the ice.
it appeared to glance off another spectator and hit the teen in the left temple, witnesses said.. arena officials and medical personnel immediately approached the girl and helped her out of her seat - some 15 rows above the ice - and up the steps to the exit.. hospital officials would not disclose the cause of her death monday night and relatives declined comment.

Why I love driving in Dallas traffic
by MegaDude inyou know, driving in this city is much like an obstacle course.
almost everybody drives fast.
but, of course, we have our bad drivers: mr. cell phone who drifts into my lane at 50 miles an hour when i'm doing 70 and doesn't even see me, women who are slapping on makeup and checking their face in the mirror while screaming and cursing drivers try to get around her, and then the dude that has to risk the lives of everybody in his surroundings so he can cut one car ahead in the next lane and narrowly misses causing a pile-up involving 10 cars.
