Don't worry unshackled. That song that was in your head was "old light". If I remember they took that song and changed the meoldy of the song. It now sounds like a dirge. Something like this "All my god we are JW's! I can't believe I was caught in this cult. Ours is a god of false prophecy. What the GB fortells never comes to be. LOL Just start singing that. New to this group

this is my second post.
i have never been a jw, but have always been interested in their theology and things religious.... i have a degree in theology and have always been interested in religion....i have been going to the convention in pa for 32 years.

I fell & Guess What???
by mouthy ini moved on sat...fell & fractured my wrist..... it is in a caste,thank god it is the ,left one.... i am all settles in with the help of my daughter ,sonin law,grandkids.. i was at the hospital for hours....was able to talk to doc,nurse,why.
they must not shut the door on the jw's as they have been doing.. they were very interesting took my card to give the ones they have.
been listening to.....so i feel good came out of bad....

Sorry to hear about your fall and broken wrist. Wishing you well and a speedy recovery. What is it with you and me? Your wrist and my strained shoulder. I quess the lesson we should learn is don't move. LOL Could have been worst. We both could of ended up in the hospital and had to share a room with two hard line JW's. Continue on our bathroom renovation. New tub, toliet, 2 new sinks and custom build vanity with tile counter tops, new tile on tub walls, and new tile on the floor. New large linen closet, new drywall and custom wood wainscoating using 100 yr. old barn wood. Went from a 5 ft. x 10 ft. to a 7 ft. x 10 ft. space. Also all new electric and plumbing. Started about a week ago should be done by June 6th my birthday. Not bad for one who is almost a 57 chevy. LOL My wife deserves this bathroom. Totally ADD

Thanks Blondie. I totally forgot about that teaching of the great tribulation starting in 1914 and being stop for awhile. All of this non sense through the years by the cult. It is no wonder those of us who are born-ins took so long to come to our senses. How can you when the story keeps changing on you. Oh I forgot new light. Will I see new light every morning when I wake up and when I look out my back yard is still the same. Not changing during the night. Again another article on how great the GB and the R&F are nothing. New Here, Hello Guys - New website idea
by garbonzo inhello, i'm a 'active' 17 yr. old jw, saw this site before when i was still searching for answers, i gotta say, it's not a good site to convert jws, because most of the people on here seem to hate the "borg" (as you call it on here?
i rather had to go on a scientific forum to get answers to my questions about jw (or rather the bible in general) with a very open mind, and actually thinking to convert some of them if i was lucky.
rather, i saw that everything the society gave us was easily refutable, or on shaky grounds.

By having central control in the U.S. nobody else has any power. Look at some of the problems that have come up in the past with branch offices asking question about certain things. If they had a global network of anointed soon you would have First Congregation of JW, Second Congregation of JW, We Are Right Congregation of JW and so forth. It's all about power although they will call it "unity" the simple fact is they want all control. Totally ADD

Are more long standing JW's leaving?
by cantleave inat one time, it seemed that the majority of those leaving, were young ones brought up in the cult.. from what i can see now (at least on here), there seems to be a high number of 20+ baptised members years leaving.. has this always been the case?
it might be i just didn't notice from my parochial view from the kingdom hall!.
or are there really more long standing jw's leaving now, than ever before?.

Will I know two. My wife Reopened Mind and Me. Both baptized 37 years and 40 years. I think many more would leave but like all of us they have to take account of what they will lose. In a normal world this is something one would not have to worry about but in a cult the the first question that come to mind when thinking about leaving. Totally ADD
