I don't think my JW in laws studied their Watchtower this past week
by troubled mind inbecause wouldn't you think they would have tried to be an encouragement to the "lost sheep " of the family ?.
we haven't seen them since july, and then this week i got a random email forward from one of them (i am guessing it was sent to us by mistake ).
anyways i decided to take the oppurtunity to send a short ,but friendly email back asking how they have been .

I figured it out !!
by thebigdebate inthere is only 1 way to become a jw, and accept all of the teachings.. you have to accept the govering body as god.
that means that they have all of the answers.
if you accept that then you will believe it all.. have you noticed that all jw's take everything as it is from god?.

What it may take to get my faith back...You???
by oompa inthis was part of a letter i sent to some family and friends........ i have a few things i have really thought about that may need to happen for me to get my faith back.
the first would be for the be for the society or the governing body to actually share with me what they claimed in their first letter to me to have, this indirect evidence that the divine name appeared in the original writings of the christian greek scriptures.
if they do not even have that and will not provide it, then a serious apology is in order for me and all other witnesses, and an explanation for their blatent lie, and a revision of the new world translation is in order removing the name jehovah from the new testament.. as long as this does not happen, i will feel i have been defrauded.. i would also like someone to show me using only the bible how we can arrive at the date 1914 as the arrival of jesus christ, and the end of the gentile times.

Who are the 500 anonymous members of the Watchtower Society?
by yadda yadda 2 ini believe there are 500 or so official members of the watchtower bible & tract society.
these are the ones who attend the annual meeting of the watchtower society.
they appear to be like company shareholders.. who are these individuals and why are they apparently anonymous?

This is so funny!!!
by hihopes2008 ingive them the "mark 17" faith test!
mark 16:17-18.
"and these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.

God punishes to the 3rd and 4th Generation! How nice!
by Number1Anarchist in5 you shall not bow down to them or worship them; for i the lord your god am a jealous god, punishing children for the iniquity of parents, to the third and the fourth generation of those who reject me!.
wtf !
so if your grandparents screw up god will punish future generations.

Will you reply to this topic or just read it?
by compound complex insome topics generate hundreds of reads but few replies.
others, well ... i'm not one for scientific studies.
nor why one thing works and another will not, despite the time and effort put into it (whatever the thing/endeavor happens to be).. kindly inform me if you, in passing by and, having nothing better to do of a saturday eve, happen to see this post but have no intention of responding.. perhaps this is rocket science after all.. thank you for reading though finding no necessity to reply .... "they stayed away in droves.".
