On JWN .. are you a teacher or student ?
by caliber inlikely most poeple feel that they at times can and should be both , that is a teacher or a student.
i know i have learned and gained much insight into many things here.. but most often.
fail to make acknowledgement... not sure why i guess i hate for a person to feel i am flattering them or kissing up.

Do you get to choose who you" fall in love with" ?
by caliber init's possible to choose people you get to know.
so, in learning about the people around you, it is possible that the things you learn about them could be things you appreciate or, at the very least understand.
many ex-jw's believe they married for other reasons (than love ) such as spiritual qualities or for security.

Is it fair to label everyone who quotes a scripture as "self-righteous ?
by caliber inself-righteous...one definition....... self-righteousness (also called sanctimoniousness, sententiousness, a holier-than-thou attitude[1]) is a feeling of (usually)smugmoral superiority[2] derived from a sense that one's beliefs, actions, or affiliations are of greater virtue than those of the average person.. the term "self-righteous" is often considered derogatory (see, for example, journalist and essayist james fallows' description of self-righteousness[3] in regards to nobel peace prize winners) particularly because self-righteous individuals are often thought to exhibit hypocrisy due to the belief that humans are imperfect and can therefore never be infallible, an idea similar to that of the freudian defense mechanism of reaction formation.
the connection between self-righteousness and hypocrisy predates freud's views, however, as evidenced by the 1899 book good mrs. hypocrite: a study in self-righteousness, by the pseudonymous author "rita.".
or criticism can be form of self-boasting (self-righteousness ) but does it not all come down to knowing the persons intent ... are all persons.

What is your purpose and passion ?
by caliber init seems to me that many who leave jw's become very well informed about their former way of life and their desire to change from this life style.
become very sarcastic and cynical , they seem to lack any sure direction or purpose in life.
but for life to have.

You say it best when you say nothing at all !!
by caliber inhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gpxykp7_qw.
you can tell how someone is feeling by their body language signs.
its useful to be able to read peoples body language because what people say and what they feel are often not the same.
