the more i read the comments made by jw who still "believe" in the doctrines of the wt the more i see that they are in denial.
first off they debate on a board they are not even supposed to be on, they are going directly against the gb counsel.
when they debate they do not give the actual wt doctrine as an example they give their own personal opinion, their own interpretation a watered down version of the doctrine to make it look better, less aggressive.

a friend of mine is looking to get a baptism annulment.
this person da a few years ago and certain family member suggested a baptism annulment so that they can have a "normal" relationship.
how does this work?

when a person no longer cares about the past, they will accept the present without question.
the witnesses we talked with are always interchanging the gb/faithful and discreet slave for example, even if you point out the origins of each.

i have noticed that a lot of christians (not all of course) tend to have a nihilistic view of things.
i often read things like " if there is no god then there is no point to life", " if there is no god there is no real morals", " what's the point of living if god does not exist", "this godless world is going to it's end"... and so on.
this is very nihilistic.

i hear this and read this a lot, "i don't believe in evolution" or " this person does not believe in evolution".
when we say this we a perpetuating the myth that evolution is a belief, when in reality it is a fact.
we should say " this person does not accept evolution as a fact".
natural selection explains why we are who we are today.
religion is not immune to the law of natural selection.
when we look at the catholic religion today and compare it to what it was in the medieval period we can see the evolution it went through and we can speculate how it will look in the future.
