They make mistakes just like 1st century christians did.
by GBSJG inwhen i'm discussing problems i have with the wts with my family they often say well they make mistakes just like the early christians did, they are not perfect.. i try to argue that if you think that way you can go to any christian church and say the same.
but usually they say that compared to other religions the wts makes less mistakes so you should go there.. i know that such reasoning doesn't make sense to me but what is a good response to this?.

To active or questioning JWs: Are you rational?
by Confession infor those of us whove discovered the truth about the watchtower society, it is never surprising when a person who devotes him or herself to an examination of all the pertinent information soon sees theyve been misled.
of course this can only be true for those who, as was the case with me, believe that the watchtower society represents the sole channel of communication from god for rational reasons.
if you are among those who hold this belief for primarily emotional reasons, it is possible that nothingno matter how convincingwill allow you to use your mind on this subject.

the one thing that was drilled into my head was that you can not trust anyone that is not a jw.
i had only one worldly friend since high school and she has been there for me thru everything.

within 13 months she was "re-instated" and by the time we were married had almost healed from the "loving" treatment she endured in her "disfellowshipped state.".
she sincerely believes that her life was enriched by being disfellowshipped because, as a third generation jw she had never "made the truth her own.

Why the number of "anointed" will never decrease...
by dozy injw theology suggests that the work of gathering in the "144,000" has all but ended , particularly since 1935 , and that the number will inevitably diminish to nil.
indeed , some jws maintain that all the anointed will have died and resurrected before armageddon arrives.
the watchtower claims that the fact (?
