  Where are all you disco dancers?

  does anybody else out there in apostaland like the 70's music, esspecially the disco era?

  i used to be a dj back in the day.

  i worked at a rollerskating rink when disco was king and did private gigs as well.

  David, Blondie: I DJ'd back from 79-82, on kinda part-time basis to make a little side cash. I would fill in for guys on vaca and things like that. I also did oldies night and saturday morings at the skating rink. Boy back in the day those places were packed. I enjoy all music, 50's 60's 70's and early 80's. But I must admit I love R&B soul and disco the most. Have met and made plenty of friends still in radio. Thouhgt about going back into it as a hobby. Been looking into setting up an internet station on the side. The Stylistics are my favorite group. Have loved watching the doo wop and 70's shows on Public TV. Have all the tapes. Glad to see Im not alone.

  do the wts release statistics for those disfellowshipped from the organisation.. i understood that they published the numbers of newly baptised and those attending the memorial, but what about the other side of the balance sheet?

  i'm assuming they don't for pr reasons.

  Just a thought, We all know how they have changed their history to hide things. A good example is the 1979 wt. Where in the bound volume it says something different than the original magazine. My thought then is even if they were to print the dfing's, would it REALLY be accurate????? Any thoughts on this perspective??

  ok as you have gathered im a wittness and i for one beleave we have the truth.not saying every thing is or has all ways been right because we live in a imperfect world with imperfect people.but as far as jehovah being god and jesus being his son.and the coming war of arrmegeddon.i would say we have the truth.i no about all the mistakes and misunderstandings we have had in the past.but i feel that is past and we have moved on.and abandoned i no what you all say about the year 607 being wrong but that date all deapends on it desolation was 70 years or not.so im just trying to understand how some of you say you lernt you was being lied to?

  Jesus said "He was the Truth and the Way." The apostles preached "Jesus". Not a religion. Im getting tired of the Prov 4:18 crap. When Jesus converted Paul, did he have to go through a long bible book study program with increasing light. Don't think so. I've never seen anywhere in scripture where Jehovah's true servants said "Wait a minute we are getting new light now". After Jesus did away with the old covenant he instituted 2 rules to live by, not the 144,000 rules the Borg has now.

  the good news: i just saved a bunch more money on my car insurance by switiching to progressive!

  (though i do miss the free talking duck aflac would send me once a year)

  the bad news: it has just been announced at the kingdom hall today that as of now the watchtower is being translated into 152 languages instead of what used to be 151.

  Actually, PMJ, it just means WTS publications are being printed in one more language. Even the WTS admitted that translating the Bible into many languages and distributing them did not constitute preaching.

  Yes they may translate the bible in so many languages, but why?????? According to the Borg the bible was written for the 144,000 of which according to them only have about 8000 left. Yet only the GB make any decisions. Do they ever ask the the complete Unnointed when making changes etc. Answer NO!!! Remember Jesus is NOT your mediator, the ORG is? They are so full of Shyt.

  my iq is 130 i have taken the test twice and both times it was 130. the detailed report said i am very high in math and logical thinking, but lower on language skills.

  i believe this site has helped me with spelling and grammar.

  i type rather fast now compared to when i started posting.

  Are JWs the Ultimate Modern Suicide Cult?

  jws lives are regularly put on the line by their religious beliefs or by the rules made by the wtbts.. if they become sick or injured they cannot accept for themselves or their loved one a blood transfusion that may save their lives.. if they live in an intolerant society, they may not purchase simple papers that could prevent them being tortured or murdered.. they go regularly to the homes of strangers and speak to total strangers and risk life and limb.

  some have died because of this very practice.. so, are jws the ultimate modern suicide cult?.

  i can't think of any religion, other than the suicide bombers of islam, that believe strongly in martyrdom, as the jws do.. how many jws could be dying every day because of the wtbts instructions?.

  Suicide, trust me if the WTS had the power to, they would be murderers too.( which they are when they df you ). They would love to literally kill all apostates if it were legal. Just look at their judical committee system, reminds me of medival times. They would hang every one of us from the highest cross torture stake.

  Welcome Highlander, I hear that kind of story all the time from friends of mine who were elders, that they disagreed with a disfellowshipping and slowing drifted away. Amazing isn't it.
