wow,, everyone who watches south park knows that their motto is to make fun of everything and everyone. For him to take offense now is quite ridiculous.

As a JW how do/did you feel about 6 billion people being destroyed?
by jwfacts inhow else can a person justify that jehovah will destroy 6 billion people, innocent children included?
i could never accept that i deserved salvation whereas almost no one else did.
it put me on permanent spiritual edge because i thought the slave is right so the doctrine of destruction must be, but my heart always knew it was wrong.

This subject always gets my blood boiling.
When I was about 10 years old I had a return visit I would bring magazines to every 2 weeks. My mom would always go with me to this RV.
After a few months with this 'return visit' we decided to offer her a bible study. The lady was a very nice person, however she politely declined our bible study offer.
Mom and I returned to the car, where I asked her... "what will happen to her if she doesn't study with us and go to the kingdumb hall?" To which my mother replied,
"well, she will die in armagedden" I then replied that "she is a such a nice lady and she will still die?" Well we all know my mom's answer,,, yep, she will still die.
Not too long ago I reminded my mom about this memory of mine. I told her it was one of the sickest things I've ever experienced. Mom ofcourse dismissed my whole
point and what I remembered.
The whole point I'm trying to make is, that the concept of 6 billion deaths,, people dying for not going to the kingdumb hall was totall outrageous even to a 10 year old.
So needless to say, this really gets my blood boiling at my ripe old age of 31. Honestly I have zero respect for those that have such an elitist attitude such as my
mom has. I'll probably never truly respect her because of that horrible lesson she taught me.

Clipless pedals, anyone?
by onintwo inor..alternative subject title, "god, that pavement's hard!"..

never rode clipless pedals before.

Clipless is great! Although I agree,, practice before you ride with them. First time I just hopped on and hit the road. I totally hit the pavement at the first stoplight.
Everyone in the cars next to me and across from me were laughing. It was great!

Patrol of the kingdom hall property.
by mdb inout of curiosity, does the kingdom hall make a habit of sending a pair of men out to patrol thier building during weekly studies?
once a week there are certain individuals who walk around a certain kingdom hall to pray against the organization and for the salvation of those inside.
almost like clockwork, at 8pm two well dressed jw men walk around the building once.

As mentionted before, it's a case by case basis. Some congregations require that a brother or two is outside watching the parking lot during the entire meeting.
This is typically done in very high crime rate neighborhoods. I live in a nice neighborhood, but I drive through North Long Beach on my way home and as I pass by
the kingdom hall, there is always a brother or two outside watching over the property.

For myself, I have at least 100 idiot relatives in the 'truth'
I chose to fade, plus I moved 2000 miles away from my family so it keeps the badgering down. Everyone thinks I'm a faithful active witness, when in reality
I haven't been to a KH in 3 years. woo hoo!!!!

My dog ate rat poison today
by Purza inyes, it has been one of those days.
not only did i see a car full of jws at home depot running out and targeting unsuspecting victims before they walked in the store, but when i reached my destination (our rental property) there were two jws at the door.
the two at the door only said hello to me and my husband and it probably had something to do with our dog growling at them.

What do you think the Watchtower is most afraid of?
by JH inlawsuits?
internet?
higher education?.
-
Highlander
I believe their afraid of everything. I see this reflected among local witnesses. Paranoia and fear of any subject, topic, thought or action not sanctioned by 'mom'
I can only imagine this paranoia and fear is ten fold among those at 'headquarters'

Do JW's elders really want to know what kind of "sexual activities" you did
by booker-t ini know many ex-jw elders out there have the first hand knowlege of this but i was wondering do the elders really want to know everything you did when you were engage in sexual activity that got you in front of a judicial committee when you were a jw or now.
i have heard horror stories of the elders wanting to know did the person have an "orgasim" did they perform "oral sex" did they perform "anal sex" etc; i can't believe that a person could be so "nosy" as to want to know what a person did in the bedroom.
i know a girl who is now df that i work with and she said that one of the elders asked her what size penis did her boyfriend have and did she prefer "small" or large penises.

ha ha... they get off on it guys... im sure they write it all own and send it straight to the gb!!!
So true! I'm sure, that after the JC the elders gather round and have a circle-jerk(if you know what I mean)

When I was younger I had many witness friends that would proclaim they were Jehovah's Witnesses to the police when being questioned about any illegal activity.
These friends of mine felt that if they said that, then anyone would automatically believe they were good people and had done nothing wrong.
In most cases the police disregarded the jehovah's witness plea and saw my friends for what they really were.
