do you know (or have you ever known) of apparently loyal or even fanatical jws that lead a double life?
they may appear godly and obedient but in secret they bend the rules eg by fornication, cheating etc
There were a few in my old cong. One was of the "annointed" (no one believed her), and she was carrying on an affair while married. Then me, before I left. I always felt my ex did, since he put on such a show of being an elder and pioneer, but a lousy husband.

a different thread made me wonder:.
did anyone from the kh try to contact you even after your df/da was announced?.
so many tried to call me, or wrote me letters, i couldn't believe it at the time.
No, I avoided the phone and didn't return the calls. One sister even invited me over to her house after the announcement. I declined. The letters I kept for a while, then got rid of. I knew I wasn't going back, and figured if anyone I knew left the org, they would find me.

no, not me, my babies!
they are 15 days old, and trying to work their way out of the bathroom closet!
3 of them, two twins and one black one.
They are very cute, Butt! I have one cat, and he is enough for now!
Else, when I clicked on that website and the cat "meowed", my cat freaked! Guess that tells me he isn't ready for anyone else.

.
often, i changed phone number in the past, so that they wouldn't bother me.
i remember being active and going to the meetings, but i still wanted none of them to have my phone number, knowing i would one day be inactive.. how about you, ever change phone number because of them?.
When I left my ex husband, I stayed at my sister's for a month until I got my own place. My ex handed that number out to my old friends who contacted me "out of concern for the path I was taking"! I was so mad! None of my family are dub's and they didn't need that harrassment.
not what they expected; moms with postpartum depression overwhelmed with feelings of guilt, worthlessness.

His whole behavior lately is questionable. Actually, in April when he first started blowing the Scientology horn, I thought I might check it out. When I Googled Scientology, and read some of the info from the anti sites, I couldn't believe what taught! That's when I Googled JW's and found this site, so I guess one good thing came from it!
Actually, Tom Cruises' fanaticism recently has turned me off from watching "War of the Worlds", and I gotta beleive Mr. Speilberg isn't too thrilled with him lately either.

does anyone celebrate christmas?
that use to be my favorite time of year, right now i can't wait to celebrate it again unless i change my mind...lol...but right now it's on!!
this only being able to post two post isn't good for me ...............i had to waste one earlier on tec support...tec supports shouln't count as one!!
I've celebrated Christmas since I was pregnant with my first son. We always spend Christmas Eve at my parents, everyone else would go to mass, while me an dsome others stayed behind to get things ready for Santa's visit. This year, since my parents are getting older and in bad health, we are having Christmas Eve at my house! I can't wait! I want it to be very special for my parents so they don't feel bad about not being able to do it themselves!

ok, i have been around here long enough to get a basic understanding of most of the jw stuff, even though i have never been one.
one thing that continues to puzzle me though, is the constant references to jws often getting jobs as window washers.
i have seen these types of references on other sites as well as this one, so i have become convinced that it must be pretty (stereo)typical.. why?
My ex who is an elder/pioneer cleaned and waxed floors, mostly for convienence stores and salons. There were a few in my old cong that did office cleaning and window washing too. I guess since it was an 'after hours' job, they could do it anytime.

i laughed so hard that i missed some of the precious fast moving dialogue!
my pbs station has begun to rerun old "fawlty towers" programming!!
Thanks, I like John Cleese, but never heard of this!
