Family Reunion
by Cori inthis past weekend, i attended my family's annual reunion (scheduled a week before thanksgiving, and they served turkey...hmmm) and became literally sick because they are all jw and talked of nothing else.
i finally realized how sad the normal jw's life is.
they really have nothing else going for them, thats why the thought of leaving is so unbelievable.

Advice...
by Cori ini have been reading alot lately and not posting enough, but i have a situation that i would like some advice for.
i have been having doubts for some time now, and no longer believe the wbts have the truth.
my wife when she first heard of this dilemma, had some issues with it, we had a fallout, and we were seperated for some time.

Far Away
by Cori injust an update on my situation at home with my wife.
after reading coc, and after the counsel from some on this board, i have decided to wait, and not go full head on with a religious discussion with my wife.
as i had mentioned, she is not an active witness (we dont go to the meetings or in service), and even recently discussed our daughter's birthday.

Disfellowshipping.......
by Cori ini have a good friend who has been disfellowshipped twice, and currently has been for over 2 years with the local elders not wanting to reinstate him.
he always was viewed as the black sheep in our cong.
when we were growing up and the elders have decided to teach him a lesson now.

Showing Self Control
by Cori inwe spent some time at the in-laws this past weekend (they are very serious jws) and i literally became sick to my stomach.. how does those that are fading handle the visits with family or in-laws that are still jw?
how do you contain the constant need to blow up and answer everything they are spewing??.
btw, sunday came around, and we went to breakfast in the morning.missed the meeting without a hint of regret.

Crazy Comments
by Cori inwas there a comment made at a meeting that finally convinced you, this is not right?
for me a couple of months ago was in the service meeting, they stated that if the children didnt finish their homework because they were studying the bible or at a meeting that teachers should understand that their meetings and study are more important.
i looked at my wife and went "what"?
