  Brother & Sisters, Aunts and Uncles.....husband and wife

  was just thinking about the practice in wt (and i believe some other religions as well) to call your fellow female (baptized) jw a sister, a brother if it is a man.

  children call older people aunt or uncle.

  so, at home, i can call my wife by her first name etc.

  Really? Clear this up for me, let's say people are milling about at a kh and husband & wife are having conversation with someone, the husband is supposed to refer to his wife as sister so & so? how weird is that?!

  At the kh they are brother & sister in jah I am presuming? it ends when they leave the kh? then they are back to being husband & wife?

  As for kids calling non family members aunt & uncle that is common and a way to be respectful. We had a few friends of the family and we did the same. They were close to us and it would have been odd to call them Mr. & Mrs like the neighbor down the street. (naturally all non jw folks involved here)

  My mums dying she refuses blood transfusion...the horror.

  mum has a mild form of lukeimia if she took blood like normal people she could live to be 100. but no, anointed sisters dont compromise jehovah wont allow it.

  so here i am moving to sydney for one month going to hospital everyday putting my life on hold to watch my mother die slowly.

  watching her gasp for air, struggle to breath.

  hello everyone, this is my fellow up from my first post, feel free to check that out if your unsure of the whole situation.

  i have two twin babies that are now two months old.

  i already to my ex to court, yes i took her to court and now im established as the father and ill be paying child support next week.

  Get a good attorney either who already knows about jw's or one who is willing to learn. Don't forget you can find the jw custody booklet (for elders, etc..) online.

  (a lot of my jw friends have forgotten i'm on their followers list) .

  i was recently told this by a jw family member when trying to get through to them.

  does this quote indicate that maybe such ones have considered that the jw's may not have the truth after all?

  or is that just my wishful thinking?

  Phoebe said, "My dad said it all the time. He'd even say it to people in the ministry."- I wonder if jw's realize that to a non jw ear it sounds exactly like the jw does in fact think it is not entirely the 'truth'? Not only that, it sounds like a cult where the members are brainwashed or otherwise coerced into staying.

  boyfriends jehovah witness mom

  my boyfriend is an ex new jehovah witness and today i got a message from one of his friends asking if i could delete a comment he wrote on one of my pictures because my boyfriends mom is harassing him about it.

  he also basically told me that she has people who added me just to view my profile and let her know!!!!

  she also sends him messages and pictures from the watchtower.

  Start posting apostate sites people should check out then they will stop looking at your stuff. Include the ARC stuff too! youtubes about jw's etc.... (ARC- Australian Royal Commission about child sexual abuses)

  Maybe the boyfriend needs to step up here and tell mom to mind her own business.

  If you continue with this fellow your life will continue to be harassment and heartache for you and bf the rest of your lives. Think long and hard before falling for this guy. Think about future children and so forth. Research the emotional, spiritual and physical abuses people go through when being associated with jw's.

  JW Kids Bullying My Daughter

  trying not to type swearwords as i write this so bare with me.. my little 3yo attends meetings with her jw mum (who doesn't believe watchtower anymore but is stuck in because she relies on her family for help).

  my mum (the one who tells people im dead) had a party for her grandchildren.

  that's my 4 nieces and 1 nephew aged from 3yo-11yo.

  I couldn't even finish listening to that cute little voice! Nearly brings me to tears to think this adorable child should have to endure the likes of jw's in her young life. This should be made public, maybe blur her face out and put it on youtube with the story? is there some way to protect her identity and yours? I dunno.....

  So glad she has your unconditional love! all the best to you and yours.

  It may not have an effect on jw's but for non jw's it is a powerful message. Non jw's just cannot believe that jw's actually do shun their own children.

  info on why JWs can't go into other churches

  Not to get off track but Tech49 said, "no "wife has her period" scriptures" -what the heck? really? that is talked about in a jw wedding ceremony?!

  Back to the subject at hand, my jw goes to funerals in churches. Though it does seem that at times he has not gotten the official jw memo on things so who knows...... he was not a born in so maybe that has something to do with it?
