Phrophets/Not Phrophets Yet Another Double Standard looked at
by Ticker inwe know that in all fairness the governing body claims from time to time, that they are not phrophets and they are merely men and make mistakes.
this admission usually follows a blatant and embaressing failure of some englossed speculation that proved false.
but do they clearly not claim the role of a phrophet or do they like to ride the fence, hence double standard example 2. they have their followers believing two contrasting beliefs at once.

Fear sells but whos buying?
by Ticker inanother thing i always disliked about the organization was all the fear tactics.
a god supposedly with a forefront quality of love was always shown in mags and books to be a tyrant ready to swiftly execute the evil in his hot anger.
everything was fear.

Watchtower Blotch of Alpha and Omega interpretation
by Ticker innow to cover a point of a different nature but one i feel very important, a point in which the society has deliberatly tried to gloss over in their manipulating of scripture.
we see in rev.
1:7,8 a mention of the alpha and omega, the one who is, who was, and who is to come.

OT vs. NT
by Ticker inwho here has had or still has problems trying to equate or harmonize the old testament with the new testament?
i do and i always have had a very hard time accepting some of the things in the old testament, etc.
incest, murder, killing of innocent people, murdering children over petty issues, men having 100's of wives, all the idols that were present in the old testament temples(cherubs and golden bowls, excetera excetera), the seemingly merciless nature of god toword many while yet forgiving others for grave sins such as adultery, or the delivering of punishment to innocent people in order to discipline the sinner(example-david's sensus of the israelite nation in which they were destroyed not him).

their young baby very unfortunatly was struck with leukiemia and requiered a blood transfusion to save its life.
fortunatly the parents had enough sence and logical reasoning to save their babys life by listening to the medical staff and proceeded with the transfusions.

Did the WTBTS pay its French Tax Debt
by Ticker injust curious as i never did here what became of the tax penalty levied against the org.. are they still trying to fight it in court?
have they finally conceded to "pay ceasers things to ceaser" and pay the bill?
or have they hypocritically failed to prove good on their own councel and avoided paying the tax fine?
