  i got married while i was a jw and have been married for 16 years.

  the last 10 years have been totally loveless, and we have merely existed under the same roof, nothing more.

  now that i've disassociated myself we have nothing in common at all.

  You don't have to be an economist to know that when the government has your money, it doesn't help the economy, but that if you have your money,

  How about having a surplus and trying to pay off our national debt? Sounds like a better plan to me. I would've been willing to keep the same taxes we had before, as long as the money was spent wisely. It wasn't, isn't, and never will be, no matter who is in office.

  this question may not make too much sense.

  if a man creates a computer, using the best parts and software design with the intent of analyzing data accurately and reliably, would he also design it with the ability or freedom to 'crash' or spread viruses to other computers if it chose to?

  if a man trains a dog with the intent of being a family pet, would he also give it the knowledge to kill humans or other animals?

  Why don't faithful angels prove God's Universal Sovreignty

  so 1/3 of the angels followed satan, the majority stuck with god.

  doesn't the existence of faithful angels prove god's right to universal sovereignty much more so than the actions of one human pair?

  It seems that "might makes right" for the JW god. He's given humans 6000 years to obey him. They've overwhelmingly voted against him and proven that they get on much better without him. So he's going to wipe them all out

  LOL. Right. Real nice of our old buddy God, who shoots lightening from his eyeballs, and wipes out entire nations because he no likey their religion. Heh.

  born; molested by cousin; best friend murdered by her father; eating disorder; abusive boyfriends; betrayed by best friend of 15 years; disfellowshipped; married after 6 months of dating; disowned by family; moved cross-country where i don't know anyone (this is only a partial list of course).

  d*mn this body is falling apart bit by bit

  Yeah, I can understand that frustration. I'm 23, and I have knee, back, hip, stomach problems, along with high blood pressure. I really understand how frustrating it is, and that just compounds the emotional pain, hon. Believe me, I know.

  Like BT said, you're not alone. There are scores of people here who are healing, and there nothing like another wounded heart that can reach out to you and understand you (or not), it's just important that people are here that appreciate you, and they can read some of the finer points of your soul from perhaps thousands of miles away. To be able to show how good of a person you are just by typing words is a gift, and you have it.

  We're all here for you, and you can be as tired and hurt as you need to be.

  The Presiding Overseer Called Me This Afternoon!

  for the first time in about a year and a half since resigning as an elder, i got my 1st checkup call to see whether i planned on attending the meeting tonight and to see "how you're doing".

  i explained that since my mother is quite ill, that i would be seeing her with a meal and whatever else might need.

  he asked whether my wife would be at the meeting to which i replied that i was not sure.......well, this should prove interesting.

  Min, the next time he calls, just shout in a commanding voice,
