Alone and Lost. Please help me understand.

background information:first of all, i am not a jw.

i divorced my husband due to his alcohol addiction and because he repeatedly refused to seek help.

i could no longer carry the burden, and so after 30 years, i left.

A few corrections here. IF you guys had relations, that doesn't mean that he is scripturally free. She is the one that decides if she wants to take him back, by forgiving him, or reject him. IF she rejects him, he is free. I have known of cases where there was adultry involved, and the innocent mate did forgive, but the guilty didn't want to get back together. According to the WT standards, that made the guilty one, having an unscriptural relationship. Bear in mind, this is THEIR thinking.

But this man is haunted by the WT's thinking and will be guilt ridden for the rest of his life. RUN as fast as you can, if he cannot decide he wants you. It's going to be hard, but the longer you are in the relationship, the harder it will be. You don't deserve that, and you are making it harder on yourself.

If he's really interested in you, than he will do WHATEVER it takes to be with you. His actions will speak louder than words !

well, after lurking here for about 3 weeks, i finally registered and decided to "join the club.

" reading your posts has really been a great help in continuing on the path i know to be right.

a little history if you'll bear with me.... born and raised a jw....baptized at 13, df'ed at 16. i've been reinstated for two years.

hmm.... where to begin?

i should first state that i'm someone who has nothing to hide, although i'm not prooud of some of the things i've done in my life, they were nonetheless experiences to be learned from, and i have spent much energy in trying to do so.

this may turn out to be a rather lengthy posting and even still, there are many things that i will innevitably not include.. i was born in victoria, bc in 1982, the majority of my childhood is not available to me so i have to live mostly on information from my family to fill in the gaps, but we moved around a lot after that up until i was 5, when my parents divorced.

Can a pedolphile reform?

i need help soon - i was molested by my brother when i was about 9 or 10 and he was about 15 or 16. it has been about 50 years now.

the only way i got him to stop was when i threatened to tell my parents.

since then, i was completely quiet about it.

Experts will tell you, that once a pedophile, always a pedophile. That doesn't mean he will always practice that. But the tendencies within him will always be there. And IF the circumstances are right, he might be tempted to regress. Sometimes, as seems to be the case here, they take the inner feelings, and express that in other ways. As in physical abuse, verbal etc. The fact that he was in the truth means nothing. It's an inner tendency that, once fulfilled, it may or will re-occur possibly. So caution is needed at all times.

I understand that there are other issues that are in the picture here, and that brought up some of your feelings. Nevertheless be careful, and be on guard. You mentioned he is a bully, and that is a typical caractaristic of the behaviours. Perhaps he himself was abused when younger, and is taking his deep seated frustrations out on others, to feel powerful.

i just had a delivery from fed-ex , i accepted a package for my neighbor at her request since she wouldn't be at home.

the fed-ex guy looked confused as i opened the door.

i cleared up the confusion by telling him that since my neighbor was working, she wanted me to accept her package.

i worked in the cable industry for awhile and each year we would go to a convention in which stations would promote themselves to keep our business.

in doing this, there were always the adult channels represented, as well.

while i walked the floor and met people from showtime, hbo and other stations.

Women Kissing in Commercial

during the superbowl a canadian beer company had a commercial of a women (very hot) who was applying lip gloss, her friend (very hot as well) had forgotten hers so they decided to share in the form of making out.

standing in awww were three guys, great commercial!.

so my eight year old daughter was listening to our conversation regarding the commercial and said "kids could be watching this" kinda funny.

i've got the first part of my state certification this morning...a three hour exam covering the last month and a half of training on state law, the judicial system, case practice, interventions, indicators of maltreatment and abuse et cetera and i've got anxiety out the wazoo (btw, does anyone know what a wazoo is??).

i have to pass this in order to keep my job and i've heard that it's pretty difficult, so i'm stressing just a wee bit.

i'm thinking the gallon of coffee i've already had this morning may not have been such a good idea??

Toooo funny !!

i was last saturday at the verizon store, getting my cell phone fixed.

i am standing in line and waitin for the next salesperson to help me.

out of the corner of my eye is this guy standing, shaking his head at me.

I thought what was sad, it that he called me a 'deadman'. I feel like going to his hall and walking right by him, and saying 'deadman walking'. Then I am going to sit behind him and say 'deadman sitting'. He'll get annoyed, and then I will point to the door and see if he still wants to take it outside in front of the KH, where all the elders can see him in his fury.
