So we call headquarters and ask them tough questions.... And this does what, exactly?
Exactly. Gadget-
Jw's have phobia's about apostates and once those trigger points are reached it doesn't matter what you tell them, they'll dismiss it as apostate thinking and take no note of it. Rather than make them think it can actually reinforce the wt mentality by providing proof that what the wt tells them about apostates is true.
I agree with this. These people are already traumatized, why add to that.
Lack of interest in mass capaigns against the Watchtower Society does equal an apathetic attitude.
Not nessesarily. Many of us prefer to take our own course of action. Or non-action. Just because its not a group thing and advertized doesn't mean that its not happening.
The Watchtowers main problem is information. They wish to control all information about themselves, but it is becoming more difficult. The Watchtower is eventually going to have a struggle not with people outside the group lobbing attacks at it, but with the people inside the group who wish to go out and defend what they niavely believe is "the truth"
And there it is. I agree with you here Drew.
Just help your local ex-brothers and sisters and let the Watchtower Society unravel on its own. They've set their own traps. We need do nothing.
pseattle2, I think this is good too.
A much better tactic would be pulling money together for a billboard
We've talked about this before, putting up a huge billboard next to the freeway near the District Conv. It could direct them to the internet, have them google just a few choice bits of information. How much are billboards anyway?
