in my short time on this board, i have noticed that there are many of us whose spouses do not yet share our balanced perception of the society.
the following suggestion is something i use with mrs. ghost from time to time.

i know many very honest jws.
if i had someone do work for me, clean my home, etc.----i'd generally be more at ease with a faithful jw over most others.
in the matter of housekeeping, i'd think that they might be nosier but i doubt they'd outrightly steal from me.. what's your thought on this subject?.

A close friend of mine workes in a Law Office. One of her coworkers is a JW (DF/NA ?? but elder father). This woman was fired for stealing cash->$1,000.

Stilla, how has this affected you? Is your company unable to supply items as contracted or are your suppliers claiming FM? It could be both ways too. What kind of chemicals do you work with? (just curious)

while watching the network's coverage on the election, i kept noticing how the announcers kept talking about what impact the rush limbaugh show might have on the republican vote... they felt his show might sway the votes away from mccain... .
now, all you conservatives out there, isn't it one of the biggest embarassments you can ever have, to know that rush limbaugh can have an effect on how your party votes?
if i knew that people thinking like rush limbaugh were voting for my candidate, that would automatically make me vote the other way.. i mean honestly, how can you not be embarrased that your party holds a man such as rush limbaugh in high esteem?

Smells: Food & spice and plant smells stir me the most.
I miss the smell of Wisconsin and the seasons. The monarda in the summer, and goldenrod. The dry smell of hardwood leaves in the fall.
I recognize most of my family members & friends by smell, I don't sniff them I just am familiar with how they smell. I miss my great grandparents and their farm the most. "Grandma's House" smells of cooking and preserving foods, the farm smells. Their gardens.

Jw's have phobia's about apostates and once those trigger points are reached it doesn't matter what you tell them, they'll dismiss it as apostate thinking and take no note of it. Rather than make them think it can actually reinforce the wt mentality by providing proof that what the wt tells them about apostates is true.

Not nessesarily. Many of us prefer to take our own course of action. Or non-action. Just because its not a group thing and advertized doesn't mean that its not happening.
The Watchtowers main problem is information. They wish to control all information about themselves, but it is becoming more difficult. The Watchtower is eventually going to have a struggle not with people outside the group lobbing attacks at it, but with the people inside the group who wish to go out and defend what they niavely believe is "the truth"
And there it is. I agree with you here Drew.
Just help your local ex-brothers and sisters and let the Watchtower Society unravel on its own. They've set their own traps. We need do nothing.

We've talked about this before, putting up a huge billboard next to the freeway near the District Conv. It could direct them to the internet, have them google just a few choice bits of information. How much are billboards anyway?
