Even when I was an very active witness I haad a couple of gay friends - no problem to me
Hey, joelbear -
I have a test I give to every man I meet to see if they are gay.
Could you post it please? I think my husband would enjoy studying for it.

My uncle Fred was gay my father said. But he was a most wonderful man and a scholar. My dad and his sister grew up in Hollywood in the 30's. Lots of people were gay. They were respected very much for their contributions they made to the art scene and academia scene around USC. My father's sister fell in love once and the man she loved turned out to be gay. We made a trip out to meet him. Cabot was his name. He was very charming and greeted us graciously at his breathtaking home in Beveryly Hills. My aunt, my dads sister loved Cabot but Cabot was by now living with his own true love, a man I also met. I was about 8 or 9 at the time. My aunt Jane never married and bought a house with another teacher colleague, Fred's sister Anne. Together they shared their lovely S. Pasadena home for 50 years until Annes death in 1990. Before my father died he told me his sister was gay. It may be so that my dear aunt Jane was gay, but she kept these things to herself. I cannot tell if people dont tell me. These three people, Fred, Anne and Jane were wonderful people who had many many friends and who traveled the world and kept wonderful houses and had libraries of books and told the best stories. All three remembered me in their wills.
They lived rich lives I think, full of everything good.
Min,I just noticed how many posts you have...damn! you chatty fella!
No, however,it doesn't last because they invaribly want more than a friendship.
As a witness I had a negative view of gay people. Now that I am away from all that brainwashing I accept people for what they are and have no problems with hanging out with gay people.
I'm not arguing for or against gay acceptance, but justification by the animal world is weak at best. What else do we see animals doing? Many breeds of chickens are cannibalistic. Does this mean God does not have a beef with human cannibalism (ha ha, beef)? Goats go around sucking on their male tools in full view of their communities. Is this appropriate behavior for humans? Again, I have nothing agains homosexuality--I'm just pointing out the inherrent weakness in the natural by nature argument.
I was always confused by the JW's teaching on how being gay was wrong.... I could tell it was the fact they were born with homosexuality- not something that they privately developed thru porn and masturbation (as the WTBS would have you believe)
I told him I thought men were grotesque, sweaty, smelly, uncouth, filthy, most of the time and I also hated the hairy bodies.
UP, youve just talked me into being a lesbian.
Thanks a lot buddy!
