Taliesin is portrayed in celtic myths as a singer/storyteller/poet/seer.

In Marion Zimmer Bradley's Mists of Avalon, she identified Merlin as taliesin (not historically accurate, but I love the symbolism).

Best known today as a wizard, a mystic, taliesin (merlin) has and can take many forms and lives in tune with nature; an instrument of the Goddess, as are we all.

Changed the spelling to 'talesin'.

PS, it's also the name of Frank Lloyd Wright's most famous home, but that has nothing to do with my handle.

So, that's why...I was one of those who asked you about that. It makes very good sense, now. Your quote above was how I felt, the last few years in the dubs...I went thru the motions and knew something was wrong -- and something was gone from me. I started feeling like a hypocrit.

My avatar...? Bugs Bunny was my favorite cartoon growing up, I loved his witty come backs to Daffy, Elmer, Yosemite Sam and crew. He was always cool under fire...and liked by everyone...it's the way I would like to be. He's also a 'smart alec' which I have been told I have a 'gene' for.

Mulan

I have a totally stupid reason. When I signed on to H2O, I didn't want to use my real email address, so I used my hotmail address, which had mulan in the name, for doing business with Asian customers. (they didn't have to know I wasn't Asian). So I made my name Mulan. Then found this site, and used the same name. I've never seen the Mulan movie, but I have a Mulan doll, a Mulan T-shirt and a Mulan pin.
