Actually my great-grandmother was full-blooded Cherokee. Her mother walked the Trail of Tears from Georgia to Arkansas (or was it the Indian Territory) as a little girl.
My great grandmother was full blooded Montauk. I have brown eyes, but don't look Indian otherwise. My Dad does though.
This thread changes subjects more than the WT.
My kids are all 1/5 Osage. Their great grandfather was nearly full blooded - and weird. My middle son found that side of the family by doing a google search. One of his uncles had posted a message......"If you know Paul................, email. You've got family."
He emailed, he got family.....LOTS of 'em. They've corresponded through the mail, sending him pictures & stories - which are similar to what I'd heard.
