Yes, I have received threats off Lloyd Evans that he would write articles about me to "ruin my reputation" whatever that means (even over things other people had said about him, and really trivial stuff). He was then all over my linked-in profile and my wife's - creepy fucker. I think he's a sociopath - if you're applauding him then you get the happy smiley Cedars, but if you disagree with him then you see a completely different personality and what he says in public and private are often very, very different.
As for the book being edited - I think most people expect a book to be "as it was written". A translation should be as accurate as possible which precludes automated software. Other than corrections for typos a new edition should be as the author wrote it. If there is new information or updates then it should be added as an addendum with the author of that part identified.
