There are those who believe in aliens and then those who believe in the spirit world. Because one makes the statement that no matter what they are told beasuse they "saw it with their own eyes" does not mean they are and idiot or misinformend.

Many say there is scientific fact pointing to the existance of aliens other say not. Why down some one because they believe what they saw with their eyes and you did not?

Same with the Bible, some believe and some don't. God is dead? God is alive and well? Gods/ Budda, Allah, Goddess etc. One can argue until the cows come home, yet this may never change how one sees or belives what they saw or have learned.

I believe in ghost and I don't care who thinks I'm nuts for believing. I know what I saw and I know it wasn't a figment of my imagination. Five others saw the same thing. And that's all I have to say about that.

Depending on the "definition" of Ghosts, -------NO.

Strange beings that "we" as humans, do NOT understand? YES!

All I really want to say at this time on this subject.

People who have never seen/experienced a spirit being could be called "ignorant" as well.

Nickey, don't let these guys get to you. Their opinion is no more important than yours is. This thread asked a question, and you answered it. I also enjoyed reading KGB's experience as well.

Due to experiences I've had in the past, I'm quite certain there is a spirit world out there that most of us don't understand. I'm not out to "prove" my case to anyone. I saw/experienced what I did and that's that. I don't care whether others believe in spirits or not. They can believe what they believe.

If ghosts were real, they could be proven with repeatable scientific tests. It's my opinion that people's experiences with "ghosts" can be explained logically. "Ghosts" do not exist.

Edited to add: KGB, I replied before I read your experience. I am hard pressed to come up with a "scientific" explanation for your experience. I have also heard weird things from other people. But I simply cannot believe in ghosts because I have never had an experience myself, and ghosts cannot be proven scientifically. I'd be more apt to believe it was a 4-dimensional being playing tricks on you.

There are things I would really really like to say now, that I won't say.

Nickey, and KGB, thank you for sharing your experiences.

    Hi Nickey,

Personally, I don't believe in ghosts. I don't believe in demons or angels either. I don't believe in these beings simply because I've never personally experienced either of them. That is not to say that I can say for certain that they don't exist. They very well may. You will never hear me say for a certainty that they don't exist, but I'm not as smart as some people and I haven't experienced all this world has to offer.

I don't know what you saw but I've heard stories like yours before. Your story, like others that I have heard and read, has the ring of truth for me. My maternal grandmother had strong Native American blood and was always very spiritual without being religious. She had dreams and would sometimes relate what they meant. My granny is gone now, but my middle sister reminds me of her. Debbie has dreams too. They have both told interesting stories of their visions and dreams. Stories that made me wonder what might be "out there." Stories like yours.

I'm sorry that you and your story has been mocked as it has. I guess you have learned that there are some things you just don't know ... even if they've happened to you. You've discovered that here there is a steady stream of people who stand ready and more than willing to inform you of your "ignorance" on a variety of topics. I've been away from the JW cult going on ten years now, and every now and then it stuns me to realize that some ex-JWs haven't learned a gott-damn thing.

Wow, it's funny how people embarass themselves on a public forum with their lack of reading comprehension!

If anyone would care to read my post you would see that I was refering to Nickey's ignorance of logical fallacies and argumentation - not Nickey's ignorance of her own experience! Geez. If you believe my assessment was in error, then prove it.

Also, notice that other people who shared their experiences were not 'attacked'. Read the thread and figure out why. (hint: it has nothing to do with the experiences shared, but the closed minded attitude displayed)

Thanks to the kind and respectful people. I don't let them get to me. They never have and never will. But I'm glad to come here and share my experience regardless of what others say.

Like I've said, I'm always open to others opinions and views and I respect them. I live my life in 3D and I don't always go by the "book". I'm willing to learn and hear other views. But in the end, it comes down to my choice in what I believe and have experienced. And to see that people actually stoop to hurling insults because I won't see their way or change my views... it's the same logic that I've seen in being a JW.

Thanks to KGB, Redneck, onacruse, Prisca, teejay and whoever I left out. Ya'll got a sista's back. *lol*
