'Course the GB find "higher education" useless.

What an odd video and a bizarre analogy to use.

"Empty speeches and contradictions"? - Overlapping generation anyone???

Why are public schools allowed? Why is education through high school allowed?

"Don't get higher education, don't do anything to increase your pay, work 40 to 80 hours a week and struggle with bills, and don't forget to get some high limit credit cards so you can make large regular contributions too!"

    WOW!

The manipulative propaganda is appalling in this video!

He uses a strawman argument by assuming that the reason someone may seek higher education is "to build a base" of wealth in life.

That is NOT the reason many seek education! Many seek to grow as a person for a completely selfless reason - to give to the community in some meaningful way - to help others out!

For example, a doctor works long hours to cure and help sick people. Any number of other skills could be cited too.

To make the statement that people only seek higher education for selfish reasons is simply misleading.

Wow, so who designed the studio they borgcast from and the apartments they live in and the HQ they control from ? An architect maybe?

Who is qualified in film production to put out semi- horror special FX gems as seen in Remember the wife of Lot? Anyone at Bethel know how to make someone look like they turned to salt and shit? Anyone with that kind of knowledge?

Who defends them in court? Law degree anyone?

Anyone ailing at Bethel why not see the Bethel Doc!

    Yeah education is completely useless.

Well, if the end of the world was really coming "soon" - "soon" as in "soon", not "soon" as in "sometime in the distant indefinite future" as the WTS uses the term - then, yeah, higher education would indeed be useless.

Know what else would be "useless" if that were the case?

-- Billions of dollars of real estate, including a modern lakeside corporate headquarters / resort

-- Hundreds of millions of dollars of annual income

-- A governing body and its "helpers"

Let's see if anyone we know gives up those "useless things".

Where can I get one of those goblets? As for deviating from the faith with "knowledge". they are masters of doing that. A lot of us worked all our lives, including "overtime: when it was available, and didn't buy any boats. And we syure as hell did need a retirement.

As for Timothy; is the one todays broadcast used the snot nosed teen or the 30 something. they have portrayed him as both at times to fit the narrative

One thing is for sure. The so-called "theocratic education" that I received as a loyal jw for 50+ years has definitely proved to be a useless education! Just about everything that I learned from "god's organization", guided by christ's brothers and revealed to them by "holy shit , I mean "holy spirit", has been revised, changed, and/or abandoned! So if everything learned over 50+ years is no longer valid nor taught, then it's pretty much useless. So the fat faced brother that just presented this bullsh*t really sounds pretty stupid to talk about useless education!

    just saying!

    The Value of Higher Education

Why you should seriously consider the merits of a college education:

A 2013 study based on Labor Department statistics showed that Americans holding a four-year college degree made 98% more per hour on average than those without a degree. - (CNN Money)

More recently, according to 2015 data compiled by the Economic Policy Institute, "college graduates, on average, earned 56% more" than those who only have a high-school diploma (USA Today).

While we are at it, let's take some time to think about finding a career or vocation that is more than just work, but is actually meaningful and rewarding in more ways than just monetary:
