"But I get lost on God the Holy Ghost! Boo! So I try to understand."

    Here you go :)

    Romans 8:9

    English Standard Version Anglicised (ESVUK)

9 You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.

    Romans 8:14-17

    English Standard Version Anglicised (ESVUK)

14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. 15 For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” 16 The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.

    Here's the Trinity :)

    1 Corinthians 2:9-16

    English Standard Version Anglicised (ESVUK)

9 But, as it is written,

“What no eye has seen, nor ear heard,
nor the heart of man imagined,
what God has prepared for those who love him”—

10 these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. 11 For who knows a person's thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. 13 And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual.

14 The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. 15 The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one. 16 “For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.

    And again!

    Galatians 4:4-7

    English Standard Version Anglicised (ESVUK)

4 But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. 6 And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” 7 So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God.

    1 John 3:24

    English Standard Version Anglicised (ESVUK)

24 Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God, and God in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit whom he has given us.

    Blessings,

    Stephen

Of course none of those passages describes the Trinity, but they do reveal Paul's erroneous views of Judaism and his antisemitic leanings :D

What is funny is that none of you accept the trinity simply because you cannot understand it. It does not make sense to you. Yet the Bible clearly supports the concept. Just because you cannot understand God does not mean He does not exist a certain way. Either Jesus is God and there is only one God, or the Bible is false. Simple as that.

Given the numerous errors in the Bible you should opt for #2.

So, we are to accept your opinion of what the scriptures say, even if it makes no sense to us? Why, what makes your opinion so much better than anyone else's?

The last scripture you quoted could just as easily be used by someone else as proof their understanding of the scriptures is the correct one.

Enough said indeed: The Bible shows a simple relationship between Father and Son, that continues, even after his Resurrection... he remains The Great High Priest with his Father's Name inscribed on his Forehead.

The Trinitarians are unsure themselves of their own definition... with many interpretations of the Athenasian Creed.

Jesus remains subject to the Father... and the Holy Spirit flowed across the Waters during the Creation.

Simple, cleare and concise... no confusion, other than the tamperings of errant Priests, particularly in the Court of King James.

As to that verse 14, you can tell a charlatan was at work when he wrote that.

The most simple explanation for the Trinity I have heard is the following:

The Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit are of one essence (God).

Men, women and children are of one essence (Human).

Though of one essence, The Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit are still seperate persons of equal essence (God); just as humans are all equally of one essence (Human), but seperate persons.

I am not my wife or my son, but the three of us are seperate persons, but still equally Human.

The Father is not Jesus or the Holy Spirit, but the three are seperate persons, but still equally God.

That may not make you a Trinity believer, but it certainly helps boil down the concept.

    At last, you got it!

Parts of the bible can be used to support parts of the trinity doctrine.

Other parts of the bible directly contradict the trinity - the parts you refuse to deal with.

The bible is a mish-mash of conflicting superstitious beliefs.

The Father is not Jesus or the Holy Spirit, but the three are seperate persons, but still equally God. - tenyearsafter

No, that is a description of a heresy nown as tritheism or "god the committee".

Christians seem to know as much about what they are supposed to believe as JWs do.
