Remembering our leaders is not the same thing as obeying them. Obedience is an expectation of you from the Governing Body. You're maybe being a wee bit fly here by quoting from the NIV when you know full well the NWT says "pay attention". Christians imitate the faith of those who take the lead in the churches, but they do so while applying 1 John 4:1, a verse that's very difficult for any JW to apply and not end up being disfellowshipped.

Reading the entire chapter you will see this is insofar as they are acting in accord with the will of God- not blind acceptance such as the GB demands.

For example how do you get saved as a Jehovah's Witness? By showing complete obedience to his Earthly representative the Watchtower Society until Jesus actually begins to rule over Earth. As long as Jesus is 'otherwise engaged' the Society are free to do as they like, going as far as to say that Jesus examined each religion and chose them.

To get back on topic, your leaders - whom you are strong armed into obeying for fear of being ex-communicated - state that salvation only comes through their organisation. By making such a claim they become anti-christs, they are from their father the devil and they wish to do the desire of their father, namely turn people away from the source of salvation, Jesus Christ. Jesus is side-lined by the Watch Tower Society because they fear Christ. Christ brings freedom and if a person is free of the Watch Tower Society they no longer fear them....or give them money.

Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.

And again I ask, show me from the Bible where Jehovah - YHWH - is the Father.

He is eternally submissive to the Father Reniaa...If he was indepenent of the Father there would not be a perfect operation as one flesh. Jesus eternal submission hashes perfectly with the Trinity.
